Yet again discovered how awesome the bike really is. I have been off of it for a week, and in my mind, I KNOW it's great, but I often forget just how great it is. Every time that I get off of the bike, I am so pleased with it. No matter what I throw at it, the bike does it without complaint, and with ease.
I browse this and other forums, and occasionally someone will come in and say that they Super Tenere lacks x, y, or z, or that it doesn't sell well, and they are wondering why? Granted, there is no perfect bike, and the Super Tenere could do a few things better. But to not buy it because of a particular perceived shortcoming? I don't get personally understand it, because in my eyes, it is a fantastic all around bike, and I don't see anything about it that would cause me to not buy it again, if I had to make the decision over.
The big issue that I see about the Super Tenere, and I noticed it right away on my test ride, is that the bike grows on you, and gets its personality with the more miles that it has. Simply taking this bike out on a ten mile ride doesn't adequately show the true colors of the bike. As a matter of fact, after my test ride, I was quite underwhelmed, and rode away not wanting the bike. But for some reason, I went out on a whim, and decided to buy one, even though I wasn't entirely sold on it. Sure am glad that I decided to give it a chance!
