Got tired of seeing the Arrow catless header sitting on the shelf in my garage, so I installed it last night. NO instructions were supplied, but the installation is pretty straight forward. I think the most time-consuming part of the install was disconnecting the O2 sensor wires and pulling them free of the harness. The only other thing of note was having to cut the protective rubber sleeves off of two the springs on the headers, because there is no way to route them without touching the pipes.

Rode to work this morning and felt a definite increase in power and torque. Sixth gear felt like less of an overdrive after I had the ECU flashed. That effect is even more pronounced now...and that's with the stock silencer! The power pulses are more pronounced at the handle bars now, but it's not uncomfortable and doesn't produce any numbness. I plan to install the PCV and O2 optimizer tomorrow. I've already preloaded a kickass custom map that was dyno tuned using the same ECU flash I have (Diapason). I have an Auto tune module on hand, but doubt I will use it.

Installed a Vista Cruise throttle lock I had sitting in the garage, and finally tightened up my steering bearing. Much easier than I thought it would be :)

The bad: my hands are still a bit numb from the vibes. My 2014 clutch basket needs to get here ASAP. I might also need to look into new handlebars with the same height as stock, but a little more pullback.
Manic Salamander bar end weights tamed the vibes on my S10. I don't remember if I bought the pounders or the lighter version since they were farkles on the recently departed R1200RT.

Took the s10 on a picnic today and yes there was girl with me also, she lives about an hour from me so when I got there the whether wasnt looking so good but thought its time for an adventure, about halfway to the place we were going its started to rain then the hail and finally the wind, so an adventure is what we got, the bike did amazing in those conditions, I was shocked when we got to our spot and she asked me why we didnt turn around and go back, no sense of adventure. . ::021::

All week I rode my Tenere for work. Cottage Grove to Reedsport OR. 150 miles every day on one of the prettiest rides in the country. Having to haul all my work gear in a backpack it was still a blast. For those who don't know HWY 38 runs down the Umpqua River to the coast, lots of wind roads with short passing zones. Few twisties but some nice curves. Generally in a car it's a pain because the passing zones are too short to get around rvs, but on a bike... Pop down WOT feel the power pulses and FLY! Hell Yes!

Installed a unit of Hello HID 4300K Xenón Light.

Touratech Colombia had a sale and everything had from 30 to 70% off. Got this one with 50%.
On the way home after the adventure it was late 11 30 ish , I did notice the high beams were not so high so I will be investing in some better night vision lighting, I like your setup. .

Once you have the suspension set up for proper sag and such, you might want to readjust the aim of your headlights. Many of us had the bike delivered with the lights aimed to low.

Definitely check adjustment of the headlight as others have suggested. My 2013 came with the headlight adjusted so high that I thought "this is the BEST headlight I have ever had on a motorcycle". It was SO bright people kept flashing their high beams at me like my highs were on... ::025::
That did change after setting sag and boxes....
It is a great headlight stock...for a stock headlight.

Rode 230 miles from CT to VT, and crossed most of MA on dirt roads (Trans-Mass Trail). Ran into a guy in the middle of NOWHERE on a Tenere. And later saw a black bear! Jim, the guy I met:

Yesterday - 150 mile ride planned, all around country roads out to Warwickshire (Stratford-on-Avon) in a loop to take in a few bike shops. Only it didn't happen!

Decided to fit Garmin SatNav, wiring, Touratech locking mount (fleabay) & determined to make a good job. Assure SWMBO that, of course it will only take an hour, maybe two at the most. The electrics went well, as Yam kindly site the accessory socket down behind the tool kit, ready made off with a waterproofed male/female socket, so all that's needed is to ID the feeds & crimp on some AMP male connectors. So far so good. Then - everything that could go wrong did. Turned out every fixing on my Touratech mount had been over torqued by some ham fisted gorilla, so I am hunting around for substitutes nuts/bolts/spacers. Four hours later & it's all done, the Nav fires up & all is serene ....but now the weather has changed. The sun has disappeared, to be replaced by black clouds & spitting rain. SWMBO announces that the moment has passed & instead we have urgent business at the MK Centre (large Mall). Great! ::)

Today - well it's fine, but unseasonably cold. Last night was the coldest August night in N. Ireland since records began & not much better here. Hopefully it will warm up by lunch time. I can but hope, as tomorrow looks dreadful. It's a Bank Holiday Monday here, as well as BSB racing at Cadwell Park (tight/challenging track, full of incident) - the weather Gods seem to know, so dictate storm & pestilence, this time in liason with their friends in Iceland. Such is a biker's life............ Enjoy the ride............. ::001::

Took it for a quick (20 mile) ride then did an oil change and general inspection for loose bits and pieces. I also installed a removable cup holder for the rear passenger so I don't end up with another coffee spilled down my back 30 seconds after hearing "don't worry, I won't spill it"... LOL

Roanoke, VA - Past: Asheville, NC & Fayetteville,
260 miles roundtrip in blissfully in not freakishly weird cool Aug temps for WV. I was in a short sleeve Tshirt under a mesh jacket and had to stop to put on the liner. Got a touch of misty rain but not enough to matter. The goal was aimless roundtrip from around the NRG to Burkes Garden, VA and back. We found some fun roads that might find a way into some of the FODS rides that Spklbuk is arranging next summer. Fancy liked getting pushed through some amazing paved twisties and she ate up the wet and rutted FR out of Burkes - but the BigBlocks are fully cooked at around 3000 miles (prob done earlier but I dragged them out a bit longer!!!)
