Got a new seat from Laam Custom in on Saturday. Managed to dodge rain showers on Sunday for 200 miles. Really like this seat and the craftsmanship is first rate.

I got to check out Clint's new Laam on Sunday. Nice stuff. ::008::

I took the heavy accessory aluminum skid plate off and put the stock lightweight plastic one back on, I don't need the bigger one for commuting and it's a 5 minute swop if I decide to go off road. Saved a few pounds of unsprung weight.

Found a puddle of oil under my Center stand. Time for a new rear shock!

Plan to go with the Pensky and traxxion dynamics front cartridge kit.

Spent too much time replacing both headlight marker lamps, one was burnt out. Requires a lot of disassembly just to get access to the bulbs. Could not find led bulbs locally so will order some online and put them in as a winter project.

Changed oil, filter, final drive fluid, washed, panniers on, packing for a three day trip to the Tahoe area. Staying in Topaz Lake.
Tim: looks like we may miss each other by a few days. Will be operating out of Carson Valley Inn next week. -Dale

Wow. That's great mileage out of a tire. I was wondering about how much you could get out of a K60. That's more than some street tires. I'm assuming the 14.5k was out of your old K60?
Yes the old tire w/ 14.5K was also a K60. Pretty typical wear for that tire.

Congrats flyby...pics

I ordered my first set of Mitas E-07's so we will see how they work...Greg the pole is in big trouble if they stink... :D

They will be here next week...if only I had time to ride recreationally and not just parts runs for the Airstream :'(

Installed Eastern Beaver 3CS and hooked up my GPS

Installed my ECU that I just got back from being re-flashed

Straight swapped my ASV brake lever from my FZ1

Found out it's not a straight swap for the clutch lever. Now wondering if I can buy the part to convert it or if I need to buy a whole new lever.

Mounted front Mitas E-07 but haven't set the bead yet.

Time for a break.

Did a 120 mile Saturday AM loop up Route 8 to The Litchfield Hills in CT. Road tested my new Shoei Multitec helmet/X-Creen Touring combo for quiet and air management. The verdict? Pretty darn good.

I LOVE the flip-down sunshade in the Multitec--beats the piss out of sunglasses. Helmet vents well and is quiet and comfortable (although still in cheek-mash break-in mode).

The X-Creen is terrific and really helps minimize air buffeting on my helmet. Very happy to have installed it. Here it is in the "down" position:
