A few days ago I added MondoMotos MM10 auxilliary lights and installed HT racks for my incoming Teton panniers. I can't wait for them to come in as I've grown accustomed to luggage on previous bikes...........tired of wearing a back pack to work every day. Very happy with the lights, as they are fairly small and mount easily enough and put out great light.

I'll see if I can't leave off the intrussive cross brace for the rack........they seem stout enough right now.

Intrusive? What bothers you about it? If it's an esthetic aspect, I would ask you how much time you spend looking at the back of your own bike? :D

And, don't leave it off if you actually plan on putting things in the bags. They will flex more than you want and propagate cracking in the pannier racks. That's just one of several reasons why nearly ever pannier rack system has a rear cross bar, it 'closes the box' from a structural integrity standpoint.

I took the bike out yesterday morning for some parking lot drills. The local Goldwing riders group puts on a free drill day, so I took advantage of that...

I took my beloved but motorbike-hating wife out for the first time (although she's been on the back of my Vespa) for a Sunday afternoon "burble" up some local farm lanes. And I can't believe how nervous and stiff my riding was; I was so obsessed with making every stop, start and turn feel safe, unthreatening, smooth and error-free
("See honey? See how delightful and safe? See why I love this so?") that it was 35mph white-knuckle hell.

No hiccups, but no more two-ups with my lovely wife and me. Not her cup of tea, and I don't want to ride like I'm trying not to spill one!

Took a 500-mile weekend trip with my wife. Fortunately for me, she's quite into riding 2-up. Anyway, I would say that 2-up riding has made me a much better rider for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Smooth is faster, smooth is better. There is no downside to being smooth and error-free.

Oh, then I did my 3,000-mile oil change at 33,000 miles. That went smoothly too because I didn't spill any this time. ::012::

Happy trails finally came in.........urban assault commuter just about ready. These seem to be very high quality and I love the lashing brackets on the lids.

Got a new seat from Laam Custom in on Saturday. Managed to dodge rain showers on Sunday for 200 miles. Really like this seat and the craftsmanship is first rate.

Wow. That's great mileage out of a tire. I was wondering about how much you could get out of a K60. That's more than some street tires. I'm assuming the 14.5k was out of your old K60?
