First ride with a new helmet, HJC RHPA MAX Modular,
after four + years and about 100 000 kms I decided the Modular Design was
a better choice for the touring I am now pursuing.....

so far, so good..... excepting I had to order a tinted shield direct from South Korea as they are not expected in Canada until spring 2015.

What make of seat is this and where did you buy it?
There is a thread in the Tech Section. He modified the stock seat himself and his mother helped with the cover. It really looks good.

Installed OEM skid plate and did the seat bumper mod.

Weekend chores kept me busy so I was unable to test out the seat, but it does feel flatter while test sitting on the center stand.

ya it's kinda nice ::013::
we are going to re-redo the passanger seat this saturday, wider and more of a bowl shape to get her tail bone off the seat.

my mom has been doing uphostery work fulltime for over 28 years, and a few years before that in the basement after work and on weekends.

she says "you can't make silk purses out of sow's ears, but you can put a new cover on it!"

Farkle #2 = altrider bash plate. Easy 30 minute install.
Farkle #3 = altrider crash bars. After installation the left bar looked a little off. Wy wife promptly pointed out that it was supposed to be that way because most people think I am a little "off". I left it just the way it was.

Made an appointment at the local upholstery shop to get my seat redone, put a couple hundred miles on her this weekend and noticed some real pain, felt like my ass was only supported in 2 spots and those spots did not like that, will give update upon completion and test ride :)

I have exactly the same problem. My sit (sitz) bones. I've tried a couple of aftermarket seats, always have the same problem. Also going to a local upholstery shop to see if he can help.

Be sure to post your results!

Rode some, Calgary Alberta to Banff, Bow Valley Parkway to Lake Louise, 93 to Jasper past the Columbia Icefields, and out of the mountains to Hinton Alberta. Saw mountain goats, bighorn sheep and a stunning 8 point elk still in velvet. Safety Tip: Elk don't give a hoot about deer whistles.
