Stretched a minor's headlamp band around the top of my tank bag, and hung an inline controller for my new heated jacket. I have one of the first shipments of the new EXO2 Storm Chaser jacket and so far it's the 'bee's knees!' It's very evenly heated and toasty warm at the lowest setting while riding through the mountains in our Autumn-like temps. The fabric and stitching is very high quality. The Jacket comes pre-wired at the sleeve ends for heated gloves and has another plug in the pocket for an optional aux battery, which powers the kidney area panels when you're off the bike. On my first ride with the jacket on, I impatiently decided to omit the inline controller. HELLO SAUNA, good grief! Had to pull over and unplug in a hurry. ::024:: Had only a T-shirt underneath the outer shell of my jacket...no liners.

Installed the Alt Rider upper crash bars and skid plate in conjunction with the OEM upper crash bars from Yamaha. I asked previously if anyone had ever joined the two crash bar systems together and got no confirmed replies. So I can attest that these two systems can be installed together with a few minor adjustments of slightly enlarging the mounting holes, patience and a friend to push/pull a little here and there. The skid plate was trimmed about 1.5 inches off the highest front point to allow the OEM cross bar to fit. I personally believe this combination makes an awesome looking cage that should be able to take a serious fall with less damage than having just one or the other systems individually. Time will tell for sure. There are two points of direct contact from both systems but I think that only makes it all that much stronger.I know Rumbux makes a great unit but it was not available when I wanted it. My used Raven came with the OEM unit so I just decided to ADD to it for some upper protection. I was even able to install the "up and over" OEM light bar to the system with a bit of mild help from a pry bar. I'm not eager to crash but I am curious how it will be handled. It adds a few pounds to the front end but still worth it. Pictures in a day or two when I get the chance.

I will post some pics of the OEM lowers with the ALT rider uppers and skid plate after my oil change and it is all buttoned up again. Pretty excited right now.

Touratech windshield bracket and Garmin Montana GPS. Wired to auxiliary light plug. Time to embrace some navigation technology.
One of the other members has a setup like that. Nice ::008::

I had this setup (but with the Garmin holder rather than the TT) and it proved to be too much weight up too high on relatively weak supports. On anything but smooth tarmac the GPS bounced around too much. I had to move the GPS but I always liked it better there right above the cluster.
