Here's the pannier mounting info:-
I'm not sure how the photos will layout against the text.

I used flat bar and kitchen wall cupboard hanger plates .
This enabled the pannier to fit closely to the rack.

8 plates per side. 2 per flat bar strip. On the panniers the hanger plates are inverted. On the rack mounted plates I have domed nuts to act as locators against a notch in the top pannier plates. The panniers are stopped from bouncing off by the catch bar secured by a mountain bike seat clamp bolt.

This morning: Installed (dealership) Michelin Anakee 3 (V) tires today. First thoughts: Looks good, front tire felt sluggish in the parking lot, handlebar vibration almost gone, does not wander during stops.

Checked tire pressures and found 30F / 36R. Who is running what tire pressures for the MA3 ?

Removed K60's with 9,000 miles front and 7,500 miles rear. Will keep them for possible future use.

Hey combo, I'd your considering a better flowing air filter I would suggest the BMC. It's very simmilar to the K&N but has a better filter media. Let me know if you have any questions, we carry both. You know me, I'll talk your ear off about parts. Lol

I've been using the K&N air filter for 6000 miles, fits perfect no complaints at all..

Today I installed the one pounder bar end weights with throttle lock. Had to remove the hand guards so the bike looks a bit naked, will test the function during the weekend regarding vibration and throttle lock.

If all good I might need to find hand guards that is not attached to the end bars, for the looks at least, anyone know where I can find those?

These are elegible for Amazon's global shipping. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p_n_shipping_option-_0?rh=n%3A15684181%2Ck%3Ahandguards%2Cp_n_shipping_option-bin%3A3242350011&keywords=handguards&ie=UTF8&qid=1369994836&rnid=2944662011

Added a couple scratches to it today. All my fault.

Turned left on the road coming onto my street. Power + Lean angle + Metzeler Karoo full knobbies = a swapping of ends attempt.

No major damage other than the windshield/headlight mount frame. $50 part and a couple hours of my labor in the garage.

AltRider bars already had scratches from my dirt escapades so no harm.

I take it you had TC off? I was riding in the smokies last week and was hammering the snot out of the tenere. I was going to turn mine off and if I had street tires and not K60's I would have, but the torque just breaks the 60's loose to easily. I would have gotten myself into trouble, that torque is like crack!

I LOVE the Karoos.
And I love the K60's too.

But I don't trust me enough to turn off tc on pavement. That blinky is my parachute.

But off road is just the opposite. I don't wanta see no blinky! :)

Glad you came out pretty much scratch free. This thing is big and heavy. Amazing it falls down so graceful.

Shocking I know but TC was on at the high setting. TC is no substitute for riding inside the envelope of physics. I stepped out of them.

Friction mark from the rear tire on the road was approximately 15 feet in length. You can clearly see that I was over on the left edge of the tire and you can see the tread pattern on the roadway. Full knobbies slide from too much power while lean over with a tire not suited for that condition. Rider error and a good reminder to always be aware of the bike's limitations in a given environment. Complacency combined as I ride that section of road and that turn nearly daily. Less than a half mile from home.
