Finished my light install last night. Big thanks to the community on here. I’ve been able to sort out my new S10 quickly with lots of good advice. Went down the wrong road with the factory engine guards, but I’ll correct that soon…down to crash guards, bark busters and probably tires left on my list. And maybe levers… aw crap.. it doesn’t stop... View attachment 99125
No it doesn't... as I am getting my new to me Tenere set up for me... I just had to slow down due to the funds were getting ridiculous... for this year !

Had mine redone and dyno tuned. Totally new bike. Header not needed. Has enough power. What can do you have.
They may ‘not be needed’ but then none of it is… it works ok as it is. I just don’t want the pollution control bollocks on there. Standard can with arrow headers and a flash is my end game.

Bunch of things. Short list...
Put headlight assembly together and the Oxilam LEDS in. They were so cheap I figured why not try them. Touring windshield on. New MotoZ Tractionator Adventure tires, and some AltRider things too. Long list is in my TenereGUY thread.

Started last Saturday. 8 hrs in garage to check valve clearances. At nearly 25000 miles all my exhaust valves were too tight. Thanks to Freedomachine on YouTube I have done my valve clearances. His video was very helpful in this task. It was my first time and it was very time consuming and challenging but at the same time very rewarding. Long story short. I have used https://thetenerist.wordpress.com/category/tenere/ to help me calculate new size of shims. If you use calculation from this website please be sure to use 1.98 instead of 0.198 if shim is 198 etc. This formula is ok but you need to move comma so you input correct thickness of existing shim. I ordered genuine shims using it wrong and ended up with bigger clearances than manual allows.
Had to order whole set of Hotcams HCSHIM02 to adjust to correct clearance.
Everything assembled now and bike runs fine.
In nearest future KYB 01m and new fork seals and bushes wait. I hope it will be easier than valves ;)

A day late, but had a short ride on Anthony Corcella flashed ECU yesterday. Sooooo smooth in S Mode. All the power you knew was there, is THERE at your finger tips. Less engine braking. Smoother in lower speeds/gears without the lurching. Can't wait for longer ride.

Good to hear as I haven't been able to get out on my AC flashed unit yet. I had him leave the engine braking alone.

After bleeding half a hot air balloon out of the rear brake/abs unit only a few weeks ago, I now have spongy rear brake again.

The pedal is either going straight to the stop block with no resistance or is very spongy and temperamental. I'll bleed it out again tomorrow but from the feel of it there is a lot of air in the line again.

I pressure tested the various pipes when it was all dismantled and there were no leaks, the abs unit cycled well, so I can only imagine this is the first stages of abs unit failure and air is getting in via the solenoid inside the abs unit itself.

Well I finally got my own, 2014 Super Tenere. Don’t let the white fool you. The original owner didn’t like the grey so he purchased the white panels. Cruise control is awesomeness on the 4 lanes. And she’s fun on the dirt roads with some moderately deep sand sections.
