With the pinky deal i assume it's your throttle hand. Have a check to see the cables are sitting nicely where they go into the throttle housing. Keeping my fingers off the levers helps.
Yep. Throttle side. Throttle cables seem ok. I have heard about people using heavier BMW bar weights. Any idea which BMW they are sourcing these from?

Fitted grip puppies and took it out for a 100ish mile ride. Definitely helped but didn’t solve all the issue of my pinky going numb but it did take it a lot longer for it to happen and it wasn’t as severe.

For the cost that was a win.

My suspension is all out of sorts though. I found the suspension thread here and have made some adjustments after getting home yesterday. I plan to get a ride in today and bring my screw driver and book with me and see if I can get this thing riding better.

6 foot 5 and on the scale this morning at 242 pounds. I have the rear shock turned all the up, with six clicks of rebound. Anyone have any advice that doesn’t cost 1500 dollars? I am considering raising the rear with shorter dog bones, or raising the forks slightly. I am also working on dropping pounds myself down to the 220s but that’s going to take some time.
Took my bike out for a ride yesterday after making some adjustments that I found in the suspension thread. I did the 6 clicks adjustment that Bushyar mentioned in this thread. https://yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/suspension-adjustment.13041/

My front fork compressed 114 MM or 4.5 inches. I am going to give it another click to the stiff side and ride again this week. The rear shock's preload is maxed all the way out and rebound set at 6 clicks was an improvement. I am not sure the amount of sag currently as I need to get a friend to measure it while I sit on the bike. I am sure I am way out of spec there but the bike itself felt a lot better yesterday. The rear had the rebound only 2 clicks from full stiffness so I think the rear shock was to tight. Softer felt a lot better.

New tyres today , so far so good , it’s been a while  I managed the wheel removal but didn’t manage to turn off the ring cameras on the front of the house. Thought I’d disarmed them but the language the wife used out of the bedroom window at 06.15 suggests otherwise:eek: off to the mechanic then home to fit new brake pads.

New tyres on , Bridgestone AT41. Short test ride , they feel good. Time will tell and my Pyrenees trip end of September will be a good test.
Quick question, in the last pic it looks to me like the axle has gone in further than before ? Does the gap into the frame look normal ?
Cheers !

Following advice here , picked up this from Aliexpress for about £20
That is the Altrider item, without the "A". Definitely the better priced option; $15usd v. $90usd.
Other gear: Rear brake master cylinder protector; $15usd 1660958500039.png Not even available from Altrider anymore.

I was out on Sunday and filled up with the intention of completely emptying the tank. I went over to reserve at 341.4 km. Totally empty at 424.1 km. From Reserve 82.7 km.
Range test today.
Stock '21, I'm around 100kgs dressed, no luggage, 'S' mode. Solo ride, not thrashing, not nursing.
Went over to 'Trip-F' at 335km
Intermittent 'Trip-F' to normal 'Trip' to 365km
Rode steady 100-110kph over flat ground
Got to a gas station at 465km and filled up
Had a can of gas but could'nt be arsed faffing about
That gives me a 'reserve' of approx 130km from initial 'Trip-F'
Subjective I know, but not bad me thinks

Took it to the shop to time sert my final drive drain hole…plug was stripped by previous owner. Shout out to National City Motorcycles for making short work of it! Back on the road in about 30minutes.

I like the looks of that bag. Might try one of those myself.
It will never look that clean again! $50 at RMATV. Added it to a parts order to get free shipping, and had some of their cash rebates to apply.
