Just installed new Mitas E-07s and getting ready to tackle the Valve Adjust. Fluids too. Still not sure about doing the ESA fork fluid change yet.

Very nice sunny day a little below freezing so went for a ride, for some reason hands got pretty cold the first 30 miles but after that they warmed up and were fine.

I put most of the WC stickers on my pig this evening. (Got sick of doing it so I went for a ride)

I'll post a pic after I get the windscreen stickers on it.

Installed new 8000 lumen Cyclops LED headlights and checked them out. ::008::
Then pulled ECU and sent in to ECUnleashed for a flash. 25% discount until Dec 2, use code BLACK25OFF
The reason I chose ECUnleashed is because they leave the "Tour" mode in suitable condition for off road and rain instead of souping it up. Looking forward to getting that back!

Replaced spark plugs and air filter. Had to run get some long 90 degree needle nose pliers to handle the breather tube clamp on the bottom of the air cleaner box. They sure don't make it easy for plug access. Hope I never have to do it on the road.

At 22,700 miles the plugs were showing normal wear and the air filter wasn't bad at all, but I replaced it anyway.

Washed it, charged the battery, topped off the tires and gas tank, added fuel stabilizer and put the cover on, in the garage. The bike is officially put away for the winter..... :(

The most depressing time of year....

I too decided that there wasn't any promising weather in the foreseeable future, so it was one last ride around town. I topped it up with the fuel stabilizer and put it in my shed. :( I will finish winterizing it tomorrow. I have some new "shoes" for it and will have the Mitas E07s put on over the winter, ready for another year of adventure!

Now I start my winter ritual of scouring maps and planning where to go next year!!

I feel for all of you in the cold country this time of year. Riding is just getting good down south after a brutally hot summer. I did notice during a ride up into Ontario you guys are no stranger to the heat! Where I live also is interesting in that while most people are putting their boats away for the winter, our best fishing season starts right now. During the summer I have to go 25 miles across Mobile Bay to catch speckled trout and redfish. Now I go about 100 yards.

Have a safe winter, get all your winter maintenance and mods done and we'll see you on the roads and trails in the spring.

Changed the fluid in the clutch and brake lines. Clutch was starting to look funky but the brakes weren't too bad (2014 model). Test rode it to warm it up then changed the oil, filter, and final drive fluid. Put it away in the shed, looking at 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow. Still need to top off and stabilize fuel, and pull the battery.
