Mounted my brake pedal extension (not sure if I will cut some of it off) and my Givi Outback panniers. Took a hundred mile ride to check it out, works. Just have to watch my right foot when I get off the bike. Did have a couple of first gear "flame outs" when stopping at stop signs. I figure the throttle body fix I saw elsewhere on the forum will take care of that. Love this bike.

Very nice Summit. Bryce I won't tell anyone where I got the decals....

I celebrated getting my 600 check up yesterday (kinda like when you know the babys OK) by going on a ride to Ojai today.

139 miles of twisties and 1 mile of straight road. Ok may be 2 miles. But the bike handled great!

Rode it, of course!

I met trikepilot just south of Asheville, and he ushered me into the metropolis via some awesome forest roads! Had some great BBQ ribs at 12 Bones with blueberry chipolte seasoning, ya gotta try it!

Then the next day, rode the Blue Ridge Pkwy from Asheville to Cherokee!

Rode the Coronado Trail (highway 191 in eastern Arizona.) what a great motorcycle road! Ninety miles of tight twists and desert to alpine country. The Tenere is ideal for this road, and handles great with plenty of torque. The southern part of the road that gains elevation quickly has some of the tightest switchbacks I've seen.

I will be riding this route (probably not until next month) on my way to Big Bend NP - Santa Elena Canyon and other Texas locations. https://goo.gl/maps/T96g6 Was definitely looking forward to US-191.

Made more room for the Super Tenere in the garage tonight. I sold the Ninja 650.
Ah, you already found this place. Welcome ex-Ninja dude!

Anyway, I was tired of the stock horn and people on the freeway merging into me and not hearing the damned thing. Installed a Wolo Bad Boy and it's mounted on the OEM crash bar in the front wheel area. There is a clearance problem where having the bars turned all the way to the left and forks compressing more than an inch and a half can possibly make contact with the front wheel cover but if I'm in that situation, then I've got bigger problems.

Great meeting you NGA. Look forward to having the time to explore some of the backwoods roads down in the area between us someday.

Likewise, just let me know!

Took some play out of the throttle cables. Oneness with the machine has been restored.
It's pouring down rain here in Oklahoma so all I've done today is stare at my week and a half old Tenere. The day before yesterday I did her first 600?mile service.
