I was experimenting with wool just before my injury. I'm not too keen on the heated gear.i have a KLIM BADLANDS jacket but winter riding in the UK its not warm enought i have a POWERLET heated jacket, with controller that i wear underneath wow i can ride all day in cold winter days
i use heated grips with bar muffs as well, just thermals under the klim trousers
I'm a fan of the Badlands. It offers way more protection and vents just as good as the latitude. Same with pants. I have yet to get a pair of good riding pants that you can put on over your boots. For a serious ride it's all about protection and comfort on the bike.No offense to Bimoto, but forget the Klim Badlands. The Latitude is more suited and has better venting. Unless you are a serious dirt/offroad rider, you just don't need that chest protection and the extra weight of the Badlands.
Forget everything you see about Klim pants. They do not make pants. They make lower wear for pousers and fools only. Only a moron would buy pants that you can't take off w/o removing your boots first.
Side zip over-pants when commuting to work then yes I can see the advantage. Not when on a day ride or tour though.
The Badlands are not bulky at all. Plenty of flexibility and very comfortable for long miles in the saddle. The built in 3 liter water bladder is a plus and adds to the versatility. The only negative is it's not so comfortable if you want to put a backpack on over it. It has plenty of pockets so no backpack needed. I use my Kriegs R15 mostly when dual sporting in my moto gear.
