This is for Rem, and Annie
It seems to me the people on this forum are pretty great folks. Great folks usually have great dogs (and cats). Lets see what kind of dogs Super Tenere owners have. My wife and I have 3 dogs, all rescues. A Doberman, a Dachshund, and a Chihuahua Corgi cross named Kip. What's yours?

Last dog was a big, lovable, gold Lab that went to the great duck blind in the sky several years back.

I now share my house and small farm with 3, free loading rescued cats. They are in charge of rodent control. One of my cats...the smallest, loves to ride around my place on my ATV. When he sees me on it he will come running, jump on the floorboard then up to the back seat behind me for a nice ride. The other two cats are afraid of the ATV and take off running when it comes around.

We have a 70 pound mutt that goes by Rowdy. The name fits, although he has mellowed over the last 4 or 5 years.

Australian cattle dogs: heelers. First a once-in-a-lifetime blue named Otis "Old Blue," and several reds with Alley as our latest:

She's my 4 year old boy's best friend.

Josie is an 11-year-old boxer rescued from a life as a puppy mill mom. She's living a life of leisure now.

I have an emotionally stunted mini Aussie. She doesn't have to be scary, just bark on e and clear the line of fire.

Heelers are without a doubt the smartest and coolest dogs I've ever been around. We had one we called Wylie from 1997 - 2002. But we had a son in 2000 and when he started toddling he and Wylie had a couple of dust-ups that resulted in nips on the face, so Wylie had to go. We ended up placing him on a small horse ranch outside San Diego and he lived a long and happy life out there (we stayed in touch with the new owners). I've had many other dogs over the years but none compared to Wylie.

We currently have two small lap dogs (a Havanese and some kind of rescue Terrier - not even sure how old he is) and two cats. That's all my wife's doing. At this point in my life I would rather be animal-free so we can travel when we want to without having to get a house sitter. Major pain in the ass, and expensive.

Some day when I get too old to travel any more I'll get another heeler.

Weimaraner - Stella
Golden (wife's) - lily

Throw a rabbit in the yard and you have a damn circus in front of you. The Weimar is having a hay day right now with all the young bunnies finding their independence.

Great thread! Our dog Mardi is originally from New Orleans. She is a German Shepherd cross who came to Burlington, Ontario by way of a dog rescue organization. She was adopted by a guy in Burlington, who decided he had to give her up after having her for a year or so. We heard about her from my vet tech niece, so we drove to Burlington on a Saturday afternoon. We brought her home to London with us. She has now been with us for two years, and this is her "forever" hone.

Cheers,

Bruce
