To access it you need to be logged in to Google Maps.Tap your icon in the top right corner and you will see the option to download Offline Maps.Ok, so you're confirming what the salesman said. Cool. I've never needed Google Maps for long distance, but now I know it there. Thanks.
What's driving the increase in capacity is emission regulations.I believe that Yamaha, faithful to its style, produces articles of very good quality. Pianos, guitars, saxophones, synthesizers, violins, drones, motors for other factories….etc, etc. Yamaha doesn't need to be trying to hold their customers captive by offering every year an update on what they sold last year….and if they were on the right track….they should be developing some electric motorcycle. That is the way. The way is not to go from 1200 to 1250 to 1300cm3 in 5 years….In those same 5 years, electric cars went from a couple of miles of autonomy to several hundred miles. Trucks with a lot of power, autonomy and reliability… So I think we have to wait. As Sierra1 says….the ability to manufacture something of excellent quality….they have it, only they take their time to do it (or how many years have they been “presenting” the T7??…and it is still the same T7 from the beginning)… .in that same period KTM went from 690 to 790 and now 890….Yamaha has a different work philosophy….
And if a Yamaha Maxitrail appeared “today”…..surely it will go on sale within 3 years…and it will have few HP compared to its European competitors…
.Another issue is the “market niche”….those who are around over 50 years old, they can and want to ride a 1200cm3….who are over 65 years old, want something lighter 700/800/900 is fine….and those who are under 40 years old, probably not many that they can buy a 1200 and they are rather “green” kids….if it is electric…better
7 yrs and the same.9 ys now off ownership and still love this thing

But surely the larger the motor, the more emissions? Back in the first years of the VMax, EPA regulations increased, but Yamaha was able to just increase the V-Boost which kept the HP up, and still meet the requirement. What's driving the increase in capacity is emission regulations.
They get tighter the CC increase is not that much it's progressive. The GS has only upped 100 cc since the 1150.But surely the larger the motor, the more emissions? A couple of high school aged kids on my wife's side asked exactly that when I put my phone on the table. They thought it was a pager. Remember them?View attachment 96213

At the time they were great. There wasn't really anything else. How many times i drove past a job i could have done on the way home if I had known.A couple of high school aged kids on my wife's side asked exactly that when I put my phone on the table. They thought it was a pager. Remember them?
We’d originally be launched to do jobs, come back, debrief, and write reports. Those were great times.A couple of high school aged kids on my wife's side asked exactly that when I put my phone on the table. They thought it was a pager. Remember them?
street bikes anywayA late model motorcycle without auto cancel turn signals is beyond stupid.
well it's like having cruise control now. I would not own another street bike without it. So Nice.I've never had self-cancelling . . . . so I don't even know what I'm not missing.
100% agreement. But due to sliding left/right to signal, push into stop, I'd probably still do that with a self-canceller. When I went to, and then from, the Beemer, I had to get new muscle memory.well it's like having cruise control now. I would not own another street bike without it. So Nice.
I'm a two weeks old S10 owner. And as much as I love the S10. The seat keeps pushing me forward on the tank and it annoys the sh!t out of me. I'm currently looking at Russel's All Day seats but would love to hear more about that mod first. Can you please pin point where I can find info about this?4. Seat 10/10 Seat height 10/10 (on the lowest setting and will do the seat mod to flatten it out this winter)
Lots of folks claim the level seat mod is a big improvement, it didn’t help me at all. Switched to a Corbin seat and that was definitely an improvement, but last fall I switched to a RDL seat and other than being a little tall for me its been working perfect !I'm a two weeks old S10 owner. EDIT: Found it:LoL that is one simple mod! Waow.

So you want to improve the protocol describe in the video by padding the two areas where rubber bumpers were removed? Before you spend any money on a new seat try this mod - I have yet to try it but ordered the rubber gromets and it's on my to do list over the winter
The RDL sure look nice. Unlike Corbin and SeatConcept and unless I missed it, it seams that the only option is to send them our OEM seats for Russel to make their magic on them.I switched to a RDL seat and other than being a little tall for me its been working perfect !
