What big trip's have you planned this year?

I haven't put any thought into this yet but it will be that time again soon enough..
My few are Redwoods and pacific coast, Sequoia National Park, Glacier NP, Try again Rocky Mountain NP, Some place in Arizona in spring (any advice?) and Great Basin.
Visit some friends in Idaho falls then to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.
If I do one big long outing I will be happy.
Ouray and Moab are always on my short list of short ride trips just to say i did something cool..

Haven't seen Bigfoot yet! :D

If you are riding this direction I can help you with some roads and destination. Riding PCH is a neat thing to do but there are so many roads and destinations to explore at the same time The more time you have the more you get to experience.

Last year I had plans to ride all the roads in and around Sequoia NP. The weather was so hot (107* everyday)I cancelled that part of the trip. To the coast I went.

I have the go ahead for up to 6 weeks to go to AK but I'm not sure I want to spend that much time away from the kids.... Maybe just a quicker trip to the west coast and back would be better. I've done the TAT but I want to check out the more northern states like Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, etc.

-Have friends that moved to San Antonio (Live Oak) four years ago and it about time to visit them.
-Been trying to get to Key West for six years so this might be the time to combine these adventures including riding the Gulf Coast and Outer Banks. I was stationed at Eglin AFB and MacDill AFB during 1969-70 need to visit those areas.
-Speaking of Outer Banks I have wanted to visit OBX (North Carolina).
-And a USAF friend that lives in Darlington SC.
-Then there are very friends good that live near Nashville (Smyrna).
-And the many highlights along the way... Suggestions?

I'm planning a short 3 day trip up to Quebec. One day up there with a little playing around Algonquin Park and some ATV trails. The next day should be around 700km with about 300km of gravel and trails with no chance for gas that I can see. Planning on taking some extra gas as a couple of wrong turns and I will be walking out. The third day a different way home on some country roads I've never checked out. I saw this picture and thought it looked like it would be worth checking out!

I have to admit I don't usually know this far in advance where I'm going in the summer. The suggestion for our biggest trip to date (VA to Newfoundland) was sparked by dcstrom at the Romney event in early May that year. We were rolling on that trip by late June. I wonder where we'll end up this year...?

I have a possible Nova Scotia trip in August, a possible Maine trip in July (it's going to come down to one or the other though)

I would like to do the Romney event this year for the first time, but I have two other conflicts. The main one is my sons birthday on the 3rd and an annual trip to upstate New York near Rochester. They changed the weekend to the 1st-3rd.

If I can get my son to go with me on his birthday, I'd like to bring him down to Romneys.

I also do an annual Vermont trip in the fall.

Other than that, mostly day or weekend rides up to the Poconos.

Decisions, decisions. :-[

Well, the Artic next year. This year, will do the northwest again as my new Teneré will do much better than my Roadstar 1700 going up the Passes not made for normal vehicles.

Late May to Missouri for a wedding then on to the UP of Michigan to cabin but will probably add in the only states I haven't ridden the Tenere to up in the northeast to Maine. Maybe add Canada. No real plans, just go on a whim.

This year will be Utah & Colorado (end of July). 1 Super T, 1 new BMW F800GS, 1 V-Strom 650, 1 Triumph Tiger Explorer. 2 weeks of off road adventure and camping out. So ready! While I wait I have a couple smaller trips in the works. One being into south AR.

Easter week I'm going to Arkansas for 6 days. Sometime in July I plan to go to the Tenere Rally if the info is ever posted on this sight. On random weekends I will go to the Ironhorse in NC and Two Wheels of Suches in N. GA and a few other places.
