I am in the process of trying to get my paws on this old beauty. This is a Smith and Wesson model 3 first model. Manufactured around 1887. Shoots a black powder .44 cartridge. These break barrel revolvers were very popular in the old west and the Russian government bought about 20,000 of them. This one has added pearl grips, about 60% finish. Works and functions well.
