As much as it would be good to fit it to the bike to clear traffic in front, I think there may be issues with it….Yes please.
Like, kicking the bike sideways when you set it off

Crocodile Dundee
I heard somewhere, and don't know if it's true or not, that more deer have been shot with .30-30s than any other caliber. Good solid gun with plenty of ammo choices. "I" would probably put a thicker recoil pad on there considering her size. If it hurts, she won't shoot it. You're right about the pricing. My son wanted one and we went shopping. This was about the same time that Obama was running. (no politics, just commercial facts) The fear was that he was going to go after guns. The .30-30s that had been in the $200 range were well over the $500 mark. But all guns were crazy high at that time. That's another reason that gun sales have slammed on the brakes now. With the changing of the administration. No fear of not being able to get one.. . . . Most deer hunting here in the East is within 25 - 75 yards, it'll fit her physically, and the 30-30 won't knock her on her butt. . . .
Steady now.Great gun indeed, but was surprised it ran out of ammo every six rounds. I remember a TV-series where they had infinite capacity![]()
I have one of those!Trying to clean out the closets...
I think this one will be finding a new home. It was my grandfather's... but I just don't associate this gun with him. I don't know when he acquired it, but the build date is likely 1985. So no real attachment.
It's a 586 model S&W 357 Magnum. Needs a little cleaning!

It will join a Taurus on the sell pile.
I was going to "consolidate"... sell a few to buy one. But I might have gone a little crazy on Cyber Monday so the back account might need an injection.![]()
Google results show it to avg in the mid $700s used. The earlier ones had recalls... I think they had a chance of locking up the cylinder.
This one had the recall done sometime in its life before me.
I have the 4" 686, the stainless steel version of this gun. When I became a LEO back in 1983, they issued a Smith & Wesson model 15 to us. When you end up working area's like Compton, that gun was a bit small in looks and everyone was buying something "bigger" (we still were restricted to 38 caliber). Bought the 686 and had some work done to it. What a fantastic gun, and carried it until we went to the 9mm. Not sure I will ever get rid of it.Trying to clean out the closets...
