I taught his daddy and uncle gun safety early on. If there's a gun in the house, it's just plain irresponsible not to. And locking a gun up in a safe is not gun safety. (that's just to prevent theft) In this instance the gun is empty, and magazine removed. I was impressed that he has both eyes open while looking through the optic. The straight trigger finger was actually taught with his Nerf guns.Who's got a link to the Karen forum so that this pic can be posted and force the howls of "You're creating a future killer!!!!"
I took everything you just said as a given. No justification or explanation was requiredI taught his daddy and uncle gun safety early on. Wow. For that to happen over here would require a warrant. And I can't see a judge in Texas signing off on that warrant. Of course, some states have those pesky "red flag" laws.. . . . Every gun owner here is required to have a safe and the police do random checks to owners residences to check the safe; . . . .
Every time i watch a movie or show with guns it really gets to me how careless the actors are with the weapons. Even if they are unloaded. I know some have blanks in them and if they did go off at that close of a range with them pointed at other actors like they do it would kill them. Then the other day I was watching an old Columbo show with Eddie Albert in it. He was showing Columbo one of his fire arms that he was sending to an exhibit. there were actors on each side of him. He kept the barrel away from everybody had it in a safe position when he activated the bolt. You could tell it was a learned and practiced move not just chance. But of course Eddie Albert was another WW2 war hero that ran landing craft at beach invasions hauling troops and ammo to shore. He was awarded metals for his actions saving marines. During one interview with him that i saw he was talking about bullets and tracers starting fires in his landing craft and he was putting fires out and driving the boat and did this countless times ship to shore. I am sure he never forgot what a fire arm can do to some one. One that used to be in Hollywood that understood actions and consequence's. Actions teach better than words.
Pictures?I've finally managed, after 2-and-a-half years, to partially set up my reloading bench. I'm putting through the hypersonic cleaner all the brass that needs to be cleaned and never realised the amount of rubbish that came off during cleaning.
A few thousand 38sp and a few hundred 9mm through. Another few thousand of those to go next.
Lots of reloading to catch up on....
Yes, pics are coming... I just want to have it a little tidier firstPictures?
Yeah, I trampled the s**t out of the line, but stopped short of crossing it. (I think)Folks, we are wandering into the political so not going to delete anything at this point but it’s time to remind of the thread title.
Yes. Show after show I see guys muzzle F'n the guy in front of them. The movie "Act of Valor" is a great movie and a perfect example of movement with guns. Of course, the main characters are/were active duty S.E.A.L.s. Horrible acting but fantastic movement. And if you've never heard of SWCC boats, watch the movie and enjoy.Every time i watch a movie or show with guns it really gets to me how careless the actors are with the weapons. . . .
I think the line should be trampled at times. It usually comes down to an interpretation of what is political.Yeah, I trampled the s**t out of the line, but stopped short of crossing it. (I think)
I truly wish we could but no and nope.I think the line should be trampled at times. It usually comes down to an interpretation of what is political….
Maybe a poll could be created over what is deemed to be political so that the forum stays more in tune with the feelings of the participants rather than a personal opinion?
Fair enough.I truly wish we could but no and nope.
This thread started in June of 2020 when US politics was getting super heated. We mods work hard to keep the family vibe where folks don’t talk religion, politics, etc. As I wrote in Post #1 we had at least one member quit because this is a gun thread in a motorcycle forum, others were VERY upset, and we’d learned from watching ADV how gun threads typically go off the rails too fast. I check into a shooters forum periodically when looking for specific info about something and it is the most negative bitter forum I know of.
We’re not doing a poll because a basic agreement to be on this privately owned forum is that the mods have final say.
Sierra1 - Thanks for capturing the sentiment and flavor so well.
