Good day all! I can currently get a 2020 S10 with 50000km on the clock vs a 2019 with less than half that, but also about $4000 more expensive. Any opinions on which is the better option?

2020 in a heartbeat. That small of a mileage difference, on a bike that doesn't seem to care about mileage, for $4k. Boxes, bars, and plates could make a difference, but $4k is a big difference. (just my opinion)

15k miles vs 31k miles, that mileage makes no difference- IMHO, however condition and history means a great deal more.
Have you taken a look at either or both of them?

I haven't seen them in person, mainly because both are quite far from my location. I reckoned if the vast combined knowledge of this group was leaning one way or the other it will determine to which one I will travel for a look. Thanks for the replies so far.

Do they come with luggage ? Crashbars ? Good tires ? Maintenance records ?
Are you from USA or some other country ?

On pure milage.... the more-mile bike..... But almost more important is how each bike was "over all" taken care of...... In that case I would choose the better of the two.........

NOTE: for all potential buyers.... These bikes can do 300+ K miles... Ive seen many with way over 100+ K with no issues..... Ive been in the engine of a few to check a few things at 100-150K miles and everything looks brand new..... With proper maintenance, these can virtually go 'forever'...... Buying a Tenere with 50-75K would not bother me if the bike has 'over all' been taken care of....... Save the bucks, and go enjoy !

Maybe, just maybe, if we knew where the bikes were located, then someone from this forum may know of them or even take a look and relay back to you their opinion? Just a thought.

Use the "high" mileage as leverage to beat the price down. I recently bought a very nice 2015 ES, it was priced very fair, actually a bit too low and made me suspicious about even going to look at it. But after watching the ad for several weeks I went to see it, looks great, runs great, but has 66k miles. I was prepared to pay the asking price but I whined and complained about the mileage and after an hour of discussion the price came down $1100. Easy money.......
