Nothing boring about technology making it possible for this ole man to take risks he used to avoid. :)

I think nothing of riding in the rain today. I used to avoid it.

Same for lousy road conditions.

But in a few more years the big bikes will be ridding alone (no humans allowed)... you will be riding with a kind of google glasses sitting on the porch of your house.... for me that it is boring (sorry)

let that for youtube... i´m a kind of oldschool on this, i preffer all the HP on my right hand

Today anyone can ride a super sport car, or GP bike... tech does safer (but borring) toys for us

A few years ago (´90) here in Chile we have a little pick up truck, the Volkswagen Saveiro, it was a little pick up with a 1.600cc engine with 79 HP... they where called "Way to Heaven" because of it´s power and low weight many drivers died in our streets... 79HP!!!! 79!!!! (today you need 500 HP for the same that we done on the ´90 with 150 HP)

Today 79 HP it is a car that my grandmother use to go shopping for diapers for my grandfather

::015::

So... Technology do SAFER things, but not necessarily more FUNNY

May be happening sooner than any of us think. There are already predictions that people born today will never learn to drive a car. If that does come to pass, how long before they take all human controlled motorcycles off the road for safety reasons?

That must be the allure of ABS, the newbe thing. As a rider of near 50yrs I find it intrusive in everyday riding and feel it detracts from my braking. Surely I can't be the only one that brakes, hits a couple of ripples in the road and feel the ABS kick on/off extending brake distance X feet. Well X feet may not matter most the time, but X feet can be right in the middle of an intersection, or a collision. I don't get it really, but I got it and live with it OK. At least the Tenere has a decent ABS system.
You sir must be a riding god. I bow to you.
Yes, it would be nice to option it, but I'm pretty sure everyone would tick the abs/tc box.

Mean time between time...I wish I had ABS on my new fz9, pity they didn't offer it.
Oh well, i'll leave it in 1st gear just to be on the safe side ::025::
slow and steady ::001::
