Okay, I'm not really a Texan... I'm from NY, but have been in this place way too long. On the bright side, the riding season is long, and I've successfully resisted the urge to get a pickup truck or belt buckle the size of my head.

I picked up a '13 Super Tenere yesterday, and had 75 degree weather for the 200 mile ride back home. Best day I've had in a long time! Never got to test ride the Tenere before buying it, and it is a weird feeling going from a Speed Triple to a Super Tenere. Like jumping from a Corvette to a Hummer.

Hoping to lurk here and find some goodies for the new ride...

If you're interested in Long Distance riding at all, or just like good BBQ and BSing about bike, you might check out this little gathering on Feb 22nd. Good excuse for a ride, if nothing else.
