I sprayed the undercarriage of my new to me Titan liberally with Woolwax (like Fluid Film). It seemed to prevent the usual rusting I would see on past vehicles. Only bitch of it is it collects a lot of road grime. They say that in so doing it actually helps strengthen the coating against the elements that might wash it off. On a positive note aside from cleaning grime off my arms and tools, the integrity of the hardware like the undercarriage is sustained.I lived up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina for a while and they put down more horrible ice melting materials than in the northern states. I watched my Tahoe rot before my eyes in a matter of 5 years - the frame was destroyed, all fasteners underneath were rotted away, front and rear differential covers had pinhole leaks due to rust.....it was a nightmare. And that was me washing the truck once a week, including the underbody.
Now if this ACF 50 stuff lives up to the hype on my Tenere, I might have to consider switching the Titan over to it, too.
