Just wondering if you know this for a fact on the ST... It uses the magnet type sensor that is more accurate than the "metal punch card" type...... I dont know the answer... Just wondering if you where guessing or you "know"...... I would like to know if it turns 'off' bellow a certain speed... Thanks ;)
It is the nature of the beast that TC systems generally have low-speed cutoffs, but I know nothing of the specifics of the S10.

i never desired any traction control or ABS or linked braking or any of those kind of things. I'm just used to doing my own throttle control and braking as I've done for 40 yrs on a motorcycle. This is probably my biggest reservation about buying this bike. I was thankful I could buy the goldwing without ABS. We'll see. All I have experience to compare is my 1997 Ford F350 and that ABS has nearly killed me many a time so it is now disconnect, thank the Lord. The wife has a 2008 Jeep and it has traction control. Sometimes I go round a corner and that stupid thing thinks I'm sliding. Come on, this thing is what 4000lbs and 150hp ? Couldn't lose traction on ice without major driving driving skills missing. OH well I Don't mean to complain. WE'll see how it works in a couple months.

All I can say is good luck to you to be able to do the RIGHT thing in ALL EMERGENCY situations and in ALL CONDITIONS.

For me, I'll chose ABS (and TC) when available (also after 40 years on a motorcycle).

YMMV

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'm pretty sure ABS and maybe Traction Control will become the standard on Motorcycles, just like the progression on cars.

If I can get a little more mechanical advantage (ABS and TC) in avoiding a potential catastrophe, I'm on board with it. 8)

I'm done buying street bikes without ABS. If the S10 didn't have it I would not have considered it. I'm pretty damn good at braking, but I'm no match for a computer that can take braking forces to the point of slipping and modulate to keep the wheel turning. Traction control wasn't on my list, but I'm looking forward to having it. As long as I can select the level of TC then I'm very happy.
