I've got the Touratech cases, all three. You can see pics on one of my blogs: inuvik2012.com. I customized the rear rack to provide a better back rest angle for my wife. The cases worked fine on my ride up to Inuvik. I dropped the bike once while fully loaded during a stalled launch on an incline and banged up the right case. It still works fine. The rapid trap on the top case doesn't work as well as advertised, but then how often do you remove your top case.
I'm running the AltRider bars. I haven't realy crash tested them yet.
The Touratech's have a different mounting system and look a little cleaner on the bike.
If you're serious about buying the Touratech stuff, consider waiting until the Cycle World Motorcycle shows come around. I got a 10% off + free shipping coupon at the show.
