For my new Super Tenere I am considering the Touratech crash bars and the Zega Pro panniers and top case. If you have this same setup can you please share some pictures along with your thoughts about the fit, finish, and performance?

Are you happy with this setup?

Thank you for your input.

I've got the Touratech cases, all three. You can see pics on one of my blogs: inuvik2012.com. I customized the rear rack to provide a better back rest angle for my wife. The cases worked fine on my ride up to Inuvik. I dropped the bike once while fully loaded during a stalled launch on an incline and banged up the right case. It still works fine. The rapid trap on the top case doesn't work as well as advertised, but then how often do you remove your top case.

I'm running the AltRider bars. I haven't realy crash tested them yet. ;) The Touratech's have a different mounting system and look a little cleaner on the bike.

If you're serious about buying the Touratech stuff, consider waiting until the Cycle World Motorcycle shows come around. I got a 10% off + free shipping coupon at the show.

Look up my farkle thread. I run the AltRider bars (not pictured in farkle thread as I changed out from the shown Givi) and all three Zefa Pro cases.

Those cases are the schnitzel! Worth every penny!!!

I'm on my iPhone so I can't readily link you to my thread, sorry!

Gents;

Thank you for the replies. I found out that Touratech crash bars are on back order with ETA of 3 weeks. So ordered the Altrider bars based on recommendations here, and they have already shipped out. Hope to be able to mount them this coming week.

Will also take your advice and order the Touratech cases during the motorcycle show season. Touratech confirmed they will be in New York in January, so will see if they have the 10% discount and free shipping offer again this year.

Had the bike out today for a shakedown ride. Did about 100 miles on the country roads in Connecticut. Fall colors, twisty roads, clear skies, cool temps, and a great bike made for a GREAT ride. ::014::

It may have been worth the wait for the crash bars. I have the Touratech setup bags and crash bar and whats nice about the crash bars is I can get my feet up on them in a couple of different spots to change things up a bit, fit and finish is perfect.
