Just wondering if there is already a top speed thread started here or is that a no no forum topic?

I don't recall a topic on top speed. And I'd like to know, as I'll never find out on my own. Obviously, any determination of top speed will be conducted in such a way that no one's safety will be threatened in any way. R.

I have hit 226 kmh (140 mph)with all three boxes on and in Tour mode / TC1 on. I am 6'4" and weigh 225, and have HB skidplate, final drive skid plate, and OEM roll bars, so with the boxes the weight was probably close to 260 or 270.

Pretty sure I could lean her out and get to 240, but I don't really feel the need. Have had her at 200 kmh a few times with the wife on the back.

The speed you had reached and told is GPS Speed or speedo ??
In my case top speed was 207 km/h (GPS) . Riding 2 peoples with side boxes I´m 6 feet with 260 lb and my wife is 5 feet with 110 lb. Tour mode on.
To reach the top speed was in a long straight, and may be was after 5 km starting at 120/130 km/h

The absence of a top speed thread tells you more about the folks who ride these Super Tens than the Super Tens. :)

Speedo speed, with Tourances. I know that means that I was probably closer to 200ish on GPS....

Yep, 140 minus 9% error puts you right at the Cycle World number.

Fully loaded, about 4k feet elevation, K60s, GPS/Speed-o-healer adjusted speedo saw 110 mph with Touratech Zega pros fully loaded with crap, solo.

I saw 125 mph on the un-adjusted speedo with bags before I did the speedo-healer.

Might have a bit more, didn't have room to find out. Nevada test track. ::)

I have no plans to reach top Speed on the Ten'. When I first got my Blackbird several years back, I pushed it to 176 mph (via gps), but that was on a "closed course " with full race leathers, etc.... I did it once. Now I just stick to the twisty bits and light off roading!
Had the Tenere up to 95 Mph the other day though, before i even realized it...seemed like it was still pulling quite well.

I think I've read every test on the S10 since introduction and the top speeds all seem clustered in the 124-128 mph range. I suspect the magazines make their top speed runs with luggage removed. This is consistent with a 90-92 RWHP bike with a fairly large frontal area. I've briefly seen 135 indicated on the speedo with the the panniers installed, but there was a pretty good tailwind. And I've got the (annoying) 7-8% speedo error that most of us have. I think 125 true is about right.
