Picked these two up from my local dealer I purchased the bike from that is closing their doors at the end of the month. Kind of sad to see them go. :( Economy, weather, any number of reasons I guess. Still seems to still be a regular occurrence these days.
Used the Heidenaus on our ride to Inuvik in 2010. They worked very well on the Vee and hopefully just as good on the S10. No excuses now for the gathering in Whitehorse in July, might even make the attempt at the haul road if time allows. ::008::

The 140 with 9200 km wear on it and the new 150
Keep us informed on how you like them. Pretty sure this is going to be my next tire. My problem is it doesn't appear that my stock bridgestones are going to wear out anytime soon. I'm too cheap to replace them until they're toast. In all fairness to the Battlewings, they have done a pretty good job.

Will do. Won't be mounted till the ride north in July though. Going to run out the EXP's first.
It will be a good comparison to the "old" style 140 I used last year for the ride.
Just missed out on the last of the old compound 150's last year thats why I went with the 140.
Tread life on the old style seemed to be very good and I hope the new style 150 comes close.
Rear traction on the Vee never seemed to be a big problem on gravel roads it was managing to herd the "runaway hippo" ::) on the front when braking or change of direction, especially going downhill with the stock tires on the Vee. The Heidenaus really helped in this area.
