Ktm wins in off road, bmw shows its problems, triumph shows its true colors and being mainly road, and the S10 failed because they had no skid plate and decided to go off road. How will mcn rate them?

Bmw first, ducati multistrada will make an appearance on road and place second, triumph, ktm, then the s10

I do buy mcn weekly it does have a few good articles in it but 99% of their bike tests are total crap and recycled every other week. Most uk bikers regard it as a bit of a comic anyway, they generally rate the beemer above all else as the benchmark purely based on sales. The market in the uk is leaning heavily towards "adventure" bikes at the moment after years of being sports bike orientated with the gs the biggest seller(and advertiser), but due to our geography and being incredibly overpopulated there is actualy virtually zero possibility of "adventure" riding in the uk. You can do a bit of green laning at a push if you do some research and find the odd trail you are allowed to ride on by law, but they are few and far between. The closest places to the uk where you can feasibly have a week of off roading etc are probably scandinavia or morroco but of course MCN would'nt take the bikes there would they. MCN seems to regard scotland as an adventure destination where due to subsidies the roads are probably the smoothest in th uk.
