I did a tour in Europe on an FJ09, 4000 km. At first I really appreciated the lighter weight, much easier to push the bike around in a parking lot, but it soon became apparent, that unlike the SuperTen where I tend to ride it 4th or 5th gear in the mountains and just hit the gas whenever i needed more power thanks to the ample torque, on the 900 triple, you gotta downshift and keep the revs up.. it's a nice engine, I really liked it but for the kind of riding I was doing, Alps / Dolomites, I wished I had my S10 ES: much better suspension, and lots of low end torque without having to work thru the gearbox. And the wind protection on the S10 is superior. YMMV
