Yamaha just announced that they will release details of at least one new bike, believed to be an updated R6, on October 4.
right you are...there's a pointless teaser of a guys helmet bobbing around on track...

likely the MT-07 Tracer may be announced in NA.

The naked MT-03 was just released in europe as well.

:p I'm right there with ya...
I went and looked at one today, and am very bummed out that it just didn't seem to fit me very well. It's a pretty cramped cockpit; I've heard other guys complain about that, but I figured that since I'm only 5'10", it wouldn't be a problem. It's probably because I'm so used to the S10.

I really wanted to love that bike at first sight, but evidently the siren song of the Super Tenere is just too powerful.

That is a great pic. Funny thing around here......I see more S-10's than KTM's.
Let's keep up the good work, I see the same in my area...S10s are slowly multiplying around here too. I'm a KTM-Husky owner for offroad bikes but not so for my large ADV bike. No offense to other katoom owners... but I MUCH prefer my Super Tenere' comfort and feel for long multi-day road trips over the hard edged KTM 1190 or new KTM 1290. The other day I sat on the new cool KTM 1290 asking myself if I should have waited. Nope, not comfortable IMO. The Super Tenere' checks all the right boxes, like a comfy SUV. I sure hope Yamaha does the right thing and keeps the Rhino going, it's really a neat motorcycle in so many ways.

page 34 of this weeks UK MCN paper - Yamaha man Jeff Turner confirms xt1200 and the ZE continue, no word on updates though

also says that xt660 in its 3 variants will be discontinued in UK (and assume EU) due to Euro 4 emissions regs, so the 1200 carries the name alone, at least this side of the pond

and that 'future models bound to carry the XT name'

i wonder if some makers use Euro 4 as an excuse to end some models, I see Guzzi have some new bikes that meet it and they are air cooled?

I wish we had the red coloured version here in the UK. I was hoping the latest release would have it.

This photo of the base bike shows the new bike without a center stand, grab bars, or luggage rack. We've seen this in some countries and not others, so wonder which countries it'll be this year. Probably the same.
Otherwise just BNG for the Gen2.

The information comes from a UK site. I think grab bars and center stands have been always been optional there, at least on the standard model. Also, the colors may change for the US. I don't think Yamaha ever offered the red color in the UK for example.

Agreed about the UK version and my question about the parts. The bigger reason for my post was the acknowledgement that the Gen2 will continue for another year, rather than a re-design.

It also shows the exhaust connection between the head pipes that hasn't been used since 2013. Not a real picture, just a simulation what it will look like in color. I'm glad they will take the motorcycle another year. There is no other motorcycle that can compete for my use at least.
