37 years of buying nothing but Suzuki's and I never saw this type thing happen. This is my first Yamaha not counting the Zuma 125 my wife bought back in '09. To date I am very happy with my Super Tenere. Yamaha still has not won me over from the GSXR's but I have gave the R1 a look lately.

Feels good to know a company cares about their customers these days. Last few communications I had with Suzuki were less than warm and cozy.

Well, boys ... I was feeling so magnanimous yesterday, that I decided to put our petty rivalries aside, as part of savoring the moment don't you know, and I actually embraced the concept of blue bike. You might even say I was impacted by the Impact Blue. Yes I was. Clutched it to my bosom and held it close to my heart. I mean, come on, how silly is all this?

But that was just for the moment. I'm over it now.

Have at 'er, boys. R
For a minute there I thought you had been assimilated by us blue guys!!

Another thank you to Team Yamaha and this forum!! ::022:: ::026::

People doing what countries can't; Find a common ground for appreciating our similarities, rather then our differences.

Right on, guys.

Just an FYI - at least one member has stated they contacted Yamaha and they are sending him the high resolution version of the poster. I'm going to post it on the forum when it's available so all can download it.
Actually, Sean from Yamaha USA Service contacted me after seeing my post requesting a higher resolution image.

I have just recieved the image and am waiting on Venture to let me know where to email it to him so he can post it on the site.

I asked Sean about the folks in the poster and he said they are the engineering team that worked on the Super Tenere, who are based out of Hamamatsu, Japan. How cool is that!

Cool!

I wonder if there is a way to get a higher resolution image as the one posted is very compressed?
8,856 miles and you can take your own ;^)

To add a little humor. Make sure you read the directions. Google has a good sense of humor.

I guarantee you everyone in that photo loves to come to work every day and gives there best.

I am a Blue owner and like it. The Black does look good at times. I would rather have had a red like the '06 DL-1000 or a White with Red decals like the Netherlands Super Tenere.

Guessing the reason they used a Blue Super Tenere in the photo is because they can't get any other color.

Thank you Super Tenere owners, Yamaha Japan, and Yamaha USA. Our combined caring and understanding during the crisis situation and period of delay warms my heart. I am happy to be associated with Yamaha and everyone in this forum. Thank You.

I don't know if this is doable or desirable, but I wonder if the Yamaboys would be interested in producing an actual banner from the digital file, and offering one for sale to any of the members who wished to purchase one. I suspect they have the expertise to do that pretty handily. Would have to have a price estimate first, I guess. Just a thought.

Price would be no object to me, since Christmas is coming and I know you guys will look after me.

Just a thought. Ok, I'll go finish my nap. R

"Yes, we took a picture with S.Tenere and the banner and made a banner based on it.
(Sorry about European spec model image! We couldn't arrange USA spec...)

All engineers, marketing team, production factory are encouraged by the banner, please pass our best regards to all your forum members."

Cool,

Anymore than that and it's just stalking TABASCO. :D

I always wondered why the Japanese manufacturers seemed so "untouchable" though.

Or to put it another way.

They seem to release things and run away and hide. Maybe it's just a cultural things maybe not.

Anyway, I am glad that the whole team got the banner, not just the "toffs".

Good work everyone, happy times. ::008:: ::003::

What a great response from Yamaha. ::012::
How many companies would take the time to pose for a photo and send a thank you poster in return to our thank you poster?
Most companies just send out a form letter.

Hats off to Yamaha! They are listening. ::008::
