I was recently wondering if there is a technique to start off the center stand while keeping your feet on the pegs. So no wiggling the beast of the stand and then start, but rather giving it a hard push forward while standing on the pegs, and then gripping the throttle when the rear wheel touches the ground.
Is that just asking for disaster?
Yeah this works fine. Just practice in an open space. I do this most often when I have just filled at a petrol station and the bike is on the centre stand. I'm a poor to average rider and still manage it pretty easy.

I rarely do it the exact same way every time for a variable of reasons. My garage was full of bikes and stuff so I would park it on the left side and dismount on the right side. Then to remount it I would jump from the right peg over the bike, which always scares me a little as it starts to right itself. My least favorite way is to walk up on the left side, kick my right leg over and squarely stick my toe into the side of my top case. Also dismounting on the left side and knocking my right calf into my side pannier gives me a charley horse. I'm a little clumsy until I start the bike up.

I usually have it parked on the side of the house. I jump down on the bike from the 2nd floor window , the Zorro style....My neighbors are really impressed !! ::012::

I put it on the center stand, get behind the bike, place both hands on the back seat, and leap frog over. ::014::
I do that except I also take a run and then jump onto a small trampoline, followed by a forward somersault, cracking open a beer in mid air, then hands onto the seat and the leap frog ::014:: Otherwise it would just be too simple wouldn't it ::015::
