I like the way it looks...put it on today, haven't been able to ride it yet letting it cure.

Pads appear a bit high, probably good for my riding pants with knee pads; I'm also planning on having the seat rebuilt and maybe lowered....so I'm real glad about the ability to adjust....

I like the TP#5 fit and feel, though...I'll let you know how well it works tomorrow night...I got a pretty long ride tomorrow.

That is a question, can you price the 3 piece set with the sides and the TP #5 rather than adding it to the standard tank piece?

Yes, you can Purchase the Side's and the Tank Protector #5... When you make your order, be sure to make a Comment in the Notes Section that you Want TP #5 instead of the One Suggested. No additional price will be added..

Keeponriding, we tried to make sure our Design was suitable for adjusting up or down on the tank, so any rider could apply accordingly... Getter DONE tomorrow. Weathers nice here in Nevada...

Do with them as you like! I'd be happy to have you use them.

I've put quite a few rides on them totaling nearly a thousand miles to date.. They are everything I have come to expect. Love them.

Any chance you guys will be making the side pads larger to cover more area towards the bottom of the tank? There is a lot of "open" area down there.

Hey YamaPA,

Attached is a Picture of a Custom Design we made for a fellow member, to show you we have the Capabilities to create Custom Kits. With that said, we are not coming out with a Larger Design yet, however if you would like to Trace out a Larger Pattern and Submit it to us, we'd be more than Happy to make you one. We just need you to mail us a Hard Copy and we'll take care of the Rest. ::008::

That sounds good. Wish I would have known that before placing a tank protector on the bike. I should be in touch down the road sometime. Thanks.

I found I had to lower the side grips about 3 inches from the photos above....I don't know I would want larger...just have to be conscious of appropriate placement.

Pix can be attached on request.

That's more the way I would want them as well. My first impression of the current design is the same as YamaPA, in that it needs to come down further on the tank.

I have to ask, why? It's not a contact point to your legs/knees down there. If it's just aesthetics, ok, I get that. I wouldn't change a thing on mine. Love 'em!

The size is a matter of design...I had to lower mine precisely to get the right contact point for my knees; My original position (as seen in my initial photos) were too high, my knees just barely hit the bottom of the pad.

One of the positive attributes of the adhesive is the ability to easily adjust to an appropriate position.
