Hey all! The c3 material is unfortunatly still on backorder, however, it should be arriving here at the shop by mid next week. As soon as it arrives we will be cranking em out in production so we can continue to help make your riding experience much more enjoyable. Thanks for the patience and support fellas! Cheers ::021::

Anyone having issues with the 'new' Tech Spec kit not fully sticking to the tank? I have a spot, on both sides, where the tank tanks abit of a bend that will not stay stuck down. The edge is lifted by around 1/4" and about the size of a quarter.

Yep, I made sure the tank was super clean and dry. I put them on in temperatures in the upper 70's and took my time and let them set for over a day before riding. I have one that started to peel up after about a month.

I did the same thing, surface squeaky clean, temps almost 80, did not ride for 3 days after applying. It stayed stuck for about a month or so and then it started to peel up and it will not stay stuck down. Mine is the 'high-fusion' material.

Same problem here, I made sure the surface was clean and dry before I applied the kit. It started to peel up where the tank curved within a few days.
I spoke with Techspec, sent pictures and they sent new side panels. I cleaned the suface and applied and within a few days, same thing.
I ended up trimming the side panels back, not exactly the look I was going for, but I decided it wasn't worth the time to finally get it right....

I have the High Fusion Kit 62-4003-HF.....

Somewhat dissappointed with the product.....

OK, so it's not just mine. Or mine are defective. It appears the the material cannot handle the angle of the bend and stay stuck.

I am thinking that I might just end up cutting out the material around the offending area. Better that then have dirt get wedged between the tank and pads and abrade away the paint.

Oh well.

Should I even bother installing them? I have been waiting on a warm day to do it. I had them on my old bike and loved them, kinda disappointing that many are having issues.

Go ahead and install. They are great. Really. There is just a small spot at the front edge where the tank bends up that the material does not want to stay stuck. I'll take a pic of it. Not a big deal, but I will trim out this spot (the size of a quarter or so) and all should be good.
