It was a magazine article several years ago. Great example of what people do to bikes that they don't own.

And probably getting paid well for doing it. ::012::
Maybe, maybe not. I once shared a camp in WV with a writer from ATV magazine. He said the pay was not good, but the perks were great. Manufactures giving him stuff to test and beat up. And any product he reviewed he was able to keep.

I used to do reviews and that's about right. Got to keep the parts or whatever and made something like $150 for a completely formatted article with photos. If the editor felt the writing needed work, he'd just reject it after all the work was done. It worked out to about $10/hr for articles accepted.

South Africa's one of my all-time favorite places I've been to! Wonderful people.

Both the Aussies and the South Africans seemed to understand and appreciate the Super Tenere from the beginning. (2010-2011?)

It's like they're culture is less persuaded by slick marketing.

I may just be naive, but they are my heroes. :)

Not only that, but their coffee is far better! Oz I know for myself.
A "long black" there can be just as good as I've had in Italy and Panama.
So, you may have a point

We actually gave serious consideration to Iceland for this year's ride. Seems like everyone in my office is vacationing in Iceland over the last couple of years. They all rave about it.

Gen 1 mirrors, Gen 2 turn signals sans running lights, and windshield? Modified or another example of UK differences? Looks like a nice place to ride regardless. ::001::

Great pic! Priceless smile. And dang good ergonomics for off road control. Impressed.
