As jimmy z said, there's a whole lot of those around. The first time I glimpsed one....I thought it was a wrinkled up penis. (ironic that SugarD asked to "show me yours") On second glance, I saw my error. I'm with Boondocker though....I get it, but it's not for me either.

I had one on my first Super Ten. Simply put, it has good coverage. Most of the tank protecters are much smaller and that didn't appeal to me. That with the history of the image fitting with the bike appealed to me. But I'm a real function over form guy too. Current Super Ten runs an 8.2 gal expanded tank coated in LineX, so I can't really be counted on for esthetic opinions. :D

Many subjects are alluded to in this particular tank protector:
1) The Dakar Rally (formerly known as The Paris Dakar Rally) logo
2) The Tenere desert in Central Africa (part of the original Paris Dakar Rally course)
3) A Bedouin / Tuareg tagelmust headscarf
4) The Yamaha Super Tenere's headlights

OMG the wrinkled penis! Too late, I cannot unsee it now! Aaargh! Oh well. If anyone asks, I'll just say it's like a police fingerprinting, but for my manparts. Considering the size of the decal...

Maybe I should point out that, it's not the Bedouin, or desert allusion that I find goofy, it's really only the big round cartoony eyes. I can see the headlight thing now that you mention, but still... If I had to choose I would go with this one instead, without the eyes.
