I ran across this muffler shield and wondering if anyone knows the mfg. I contacted Akropovic & was told it wasn't theirs. Any ideas?

That's pretty cool looking! Hopefully someone here will know who makes it and how to get one.

There's a new exhaust shield in the Touratech 2011 catalog...It covers more of the exhaust though, but it's carbon allright!

Carbon Fiber looks great and will look even better on a black or white S-10. ;)
Personally I plan on carrying luggage and would want a cover that covers as much as the stock cover. I like the protection from heat!

R&G Racing Products makes a product that should protect the exhaust pretty darm well:

It's not made of "Italian Chrome" but it will do the job it was intended to do.

here it is on a stock BMW S1000RR exhaust pipe:

I will send an email over to my boys in the UK and see if this will fit the S10 pipe. More to follow.

Nice catalog and smart marketing on Touratech's part. Lots of cool stuff with pictures and descriptions, but no prices listed to spoil the euphoria. You get addicted to the nice stuff and then you find-out the prices!!

Yeah - some nice stuff, but some expensive fluff too...

Did anybody spot a major screwup? The last several pages have XT1200Z in the page header, but it's all stuff of the 660 Tenere. Not that much of a deal if it's only in electronic form, but a bad mistake if they've printed thousands of full-color catalogs...

i will still be cutting down my stock shield, adding some of the Di-Noc carbon vinyl to it, and applying some sort of aluminized heat shield deflector stuff to the back for probably less than $10. I will get the same look.
