I'll pull one this weekend and check. If there are tiny dual fans in there that I missed (which is quite possible) I'll be looking for a different set with higher lumens and a regular fan... :)

I have these bulbs, at least that brand and they look like that , and they do not have a fan, just a heat sink.

Interesting....while looking at their bulbs....I found these....seem to be about 1000 lumens brighter than the ones I listed above. Looks like they added an additional LED (4 vs 3) Also seem fanless...

I love this feature: "The center (LED) brightness is 1 times brighter than the two sides. More focus for center brightness."
Well, I believe simplest Algebra says 1 times something is the same. So what't the perk?

From the specifications:
●Cooling: Built-in Fan
Yeah....I think it might be an error. I still haven't had a chance to get out and pull one of mine and see if I can find any evidence of a fan (internal or otherwise). Probably need to run it and see if I can hear or feel it if it's internal....will report back soon.

I'm going with a 6" 6000 lumen light bar, so l may leave the oem bulbs alone. If not, I'm getting the impression from this thread, that the led aftermarket bulbs don't last as long in spite of their claims to the contrary?

The LEDs will last longer than stock. I have the LEDs for over 2 years and have not lost one of them.

Any issues heat wise going 50 watts per bulb over 35 per bulb?
I think the stock silvania silver star halogens are 55watt so...should not be any issues.

One more thing to realize about these LED bulb kits....most of them state "50w" or something similar but if you read down in the fine print you will find that the number is usually for the PAIR. So each bulb is usually significantly less wattage than a stock halogen bulb.

Ok, so i checked on my lights and i am 99% sure they are fanless and that website description is wrong....it's either that or these bulbs have the smallest, quietest and most vibration free fan that ive ever seen... with the lights powered on i couldnt hear or feel any air movement or vibration from any fans on the heatsinks. That and i cant see where they would be. Anyway, im probably going to order the 1000 lumen higher model and see how those look. If i do, ill try and shoot some photo side by side comparison stuff.

The description listed below claiming 12K RPM fan appears to be wrong...

I think someone got carried away with the cut and paste. I agree, no fans there, just a heat sink. That was part of the appeal for some of the original Nighteye products. (edit - if someone takes one apart and finds fans, post up about it!)

I also have a 6in light bar and love it for riding in rural areas where there are critters. I went with the hyperspot and also added 2 x D2 drivers "pods". The light is so intense though that without a controller that allows you to dim them I would hesitate to run them all the time. I didn't want ti install one of those so I hooked mine to my highbeams with an auxiliary kill switch and also installed the upgraded headlight bulbs. I'm happy.

Here's the thread describing my setup.

I recently burned out a Cyclops headlight and bnschroder turned me on to some Chinese bulbs that he found. Doing some research, I see that EricV and Xclimation found these too.
Even better is that the $31 is for a pair (one box), while a single Cyclops would cost more than double that amount. So you know what to buy, here's the box with an original bulb for scale:

Link to the product on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077KSPHB7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Comparison with the Cyclops in the middle:

I set up a piece of plywood in the garage and held the camera above the center of the windshield.
The first photo shows the NovSight on the left, with the OEM on the right, on low beams.
btw - I swapped the bulbs in the sockets and the results didn't change. Please just ignore the total mess on the work bench.

High beams with OEM on right:

THESE DO REQUIRE THE LARGER/EXTENDED CAPS THAT ARE AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING LINK OR FROM THE CYCLOPS KIT.

Riding on the highway and through the woods, the NovSights definitely are better than the Cyclops. To me, these are the shizzits and my thanks go to bnschroder.
Hi checkswreck,
Ilive in the UK my novsight bulbs came today, can i ask you in the instructions in the box it says to remove the collar off the bulb first, do you need to do this as this collar is the part that makes it a H7 bulb and need it to fit the bulb in place.

If it's like LEDs I've had previously I think it means you remove the collar, clip it into your headlamp then insert the LED into the collar. Basically you can't close the clip with the fan unit in the way...

I don't remember if I had to remove the plastic collar or not, BUT they should only fit one way or the other.
