Steve rides in a class all by himself.
No question about that. I remember looking for Steve first thing Sunday morning, but I was too late.

And second, the Tenere might truly have the best value:performance ratio of any bike in the world.
No question about that either.

Wise move by Yamaha!

Jon not likely I'll be making it this year :( . My retina detached again! I had surgery Thursday this was the third time since Aug. I was really looking forward to coming. I went to get a cataract removed so I could get new glasses and the Doc informed me my retina was coming loose. Hoped to be straightened out by summer. I know you all will have fun! To anybody who hasn't been its worth the trip. WV and the folks of Romney are worth it.
Arrggg. I hope you heal quickly and all goes well!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Chris

Congrats Chris on the new little addition, if you remember me meeting you and your wife one evening late. (Rode from Iowa with Steve and Bob)

I will be attending. Can anyone tell me if there are showers if you tent camp on the property? I assume not but it doesn't hurt to ask. Evan Queen
Welcome...yes, Romney sets up propane heated showers in their loading dock area. They will be operational by Friday, possibly sooner, but definitely by Friday.

Thanks. I didn't read the headline thoroughly. It states the showers. See you there

I am looking as well, got the time off.......

I intend to play this year and am bringing both bikes.
Hope that Trike shows up with a Honda. Great guy and cool bike.

What is your other bike?

True Grip said:
Bob I would love to come hang out and catch up but need to save vacation time for when I'm finally able to ride. 3 surgeries in 5 months has knocked a hole in my time off bank. I'm sure it will be a great time. Steve you all look for Patrckg450 if he goes he has a dirt nose.

was that an endorsement?

Thanks True Grip
Patrick are you going to make it?

Yes I am................

Was NOT ignoring anyone but somehow did not keep up with the thread. Since my sickass riding buddy and fellow veteran is out on sick leave I am wondering logistically how I should go about it. I may trailer up so I can stay for more than just the long weekend. Also that Shinko rear wont make the whole trip if I ride up. I really wanted to do the KAT .... Wife hates when I ride alone.

Glad to hear you are coming. This year I plan to have the Tenere and KTM 690 there.

Up to you. Most rides are fine for the Tenere, both paved and gravel/dirt. I just find that as I'm getting older a lighter bike is better off pavement for me. You'd be fine with just the big bike.

the tag pops right off the ST and can quickly be adhered to the 450 in seconds...............that is if you can lead me to some good single track.

Just in case anyone missed it, there will be professional off-pavement training at this year's event. See this thread: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=18670.0

I know of at least 4 people saying they were signing up within the first 12 hours after the announcement. I'm guessing the slots may fill up quickly.

Love this. Would really like to do it. BUT take me off the the Romney list and add a room at Koolwink.

Getting my rotator cuff repaired on 3/11. Patrick you owe me!

As the better half constantly reminds me, I should have done it in November when our medical deductible was fully covered.

Still hope to make the Zion Rally later in the year.
