planning a trip through Glacier national park in September 2019...Any sightseeing recommendations or tips? Thank you, Teryn
IMHO, other than Going to the Sun Road, is the Many Glacier Valley on the East side of the park - US 89 north out of St. Marys, turn west to the Many Glacier Valley just before Babb. Beautiful glacier-carved valley, 100 year old lodge, on and on!planning a trip through Glacier national park in September 2019...Any sightseeing recommendations or tips? Thank you, Teryn
It is such a beautiful area that I'm sure if you explore there has to be many great things to see in every direction. We did it on our ride to Alaska and had no time to check anything other than Sun road. The west side of that one was a sleeper. A ride through the woods that can be seen in many, many other places. You guys aren't giving the west side enough credit.
My dad worked on Hungry Horse dam in his younger years. the stories he told of this! beautiful place! You guys aren't giving the west side enough credit.
Just west of the park is Hungry Horse Reservoir with an adventure road all the way around.
The lake is 34 miles long with a 564 foot dam.
I have only ridden some of the road [not all the way around] but I plan to ride all the way around and explore some of the off trails.
