I like the all aluminum Yamaha bags! Are they all aluminum with a gasket for sealing? What did it take for hou to vet the bags? Is the mounting exacly the same as the abs/alu bags. you mention cross piece...dos that come withe the bags or lart of another mounting shstem. thanks and can't wait to see them mounted!
I second this. How much did these cost? These should be the stock panniers...

What is the brand? Diapason? Cost? And can where can we order em?

They are 38" from outer edge to outer edge. Not slim. but still within the 39" bar measurement (between handguard outer edges).

Forgot to mention there is a brace the goes between the aft, inside lower corners of the boxes, unlike the OEMs.

I sent an email to Diapason enquiring about purchase and shipping costs. They directed me to Motoshop of Parma. Sent them an email but no response yet?

Motoshop normally responds to emails in about 2 - 3 days. Get set for sticker shock..they are easily the most expensive cases available for this bike...then add-in a shipping price that will drop your jaw again. This was not a 'bang for the buck' move by any means. I've been obsessive in selecting cases for this bike and this was the end result.

For all who are asking the price, you REALLY have to want these bad...so I'd prefer you contact Motoshop Parma directly if you are motivated to that point. This is not a mass-produced item and you will pay.

In answer to another questions, yes, they do come with the cross bar

Is that plastic hinges on the moto parm bags?

Price is not a real concern but finding bags that have the exhaust cut out and are true boxes, not some odball geometric shape has become the issue.

Not sure I'd pay a premium price for plastic hinges or something that's not built like a brick $hit house?

But I do understand your search as I've owned the bike since early Feb and still have not perchased bags which I desparately need.

Here you are some pictures with my ST with Motoshop pannier (the same that Tenerator show us).

In one of the pictures I show you that the width is 98 cm (38.58 inches) , in Italy the law admit 100 cm, and with the touratech , trax and others you're out of law, cause they're not tailored on our original mount of the ST

Yes, the fit is was my main interest. If I did more off-road, I'd probably worry about the plastic hinges. Looking at the rest of the case, those would seem to be the weak point.

Is it just me or does it look like the boxes would be a bit flimsy, with just a straight edge at the opening and no flange to increase rigidity?

I'm new to the forum and my new Tenere, looking for side rack and panniers. I know you all have made good and bad decisions in purchasing these pieces, what is the best fit for the Tenere.
I rode a GSA for years and just ran the GS bags and they worked fine after 80,000 miles in 3 years.

Thanks for the help,
Glenn

Everyone has their own opinions based upon cost, carrying capacity, top loading vs side loading, mounted width, crashworithness, end vs. side hinged lids, removable lids or not, looks without the bags mounted, completely removable mounts, adjustability of the the bags on the mounts, looks of the bags, available colors of the bags and god-knows-what-else.

I went with Jesse Odyssey II's after long and careful consideration.

From what I have read the square plainer ones hold up to abuse better . The ones that top load seem to be easier to load from the posts about them .
I have a topic about side racks that show the difference in width. Alot seem to go with the givi amnd i will as well due to low cost and bang for the buck . I plan on taking mine off most the time

They certainly don't feel that way, but I suppose when you compare them to your Jesses you might think so. Should be easier to straighten them out though. Just don't ask me to crash test them. O0

Here are some photos of my S10 with Happy Trails cliff cut denali boxes. 32" overall front and back. I mounted the frames w/o grab bars, used factory bolts. Touches the heat shield, but I'm okay with that.

I chose HT boxes based on my past experience. I had Tetons on my R1150GS. I went down pretty hard, slid 100' then highsided. Frame and rear subframe were bent, boxes still worked.

I leave for HyderSeek via Rick Mayer's shop on Monday.

I think they might be too low. I may drill a set of holes to mount them a couple inches higher.

Very nice. That looks much better than the 46L as a top box. I wonder when these will hit the US distributors?
