Does anybody have them mounted on the Jesse bags? Curious if they would work on the top with the loops installed, sides or rear?
I've messed around with that a bit - doesn't fit anywhere particularly well. Right rear or the front either side, perhaps supported by the passenger pegs, would seem to be best.ValpoFz said:Does anybody have them mounted on the Jesse bags? The AltRider rack was my choice too for a similar reason. A great platform for many uses/options.roy said:Yes Utah and rural. But also over to Grand Canyon and several places in between. I know stations are there but I don't want to be thinking about gas and I don't use the Altrider rack for anything anyway so might as well put gas on it.
Thanks.limey said:WJR where was that picture taken? Looks like Monument Valley. Wonderful picture by the way.
There are so many "almost" ways to mount a Rotopax, at least on my Tenere. Like most I would like to mount them on the motorcycle side of the sidecases, but not enough room. Next is the bottom of the sidecases, though with off-road clearance concerns.Boostedxt said:I am going to get 1 2gallon container and mount it on the passanger rack to the tail rack. Then put the dryspec tt bags on top of it. That will keep it low and secure.

this....we are over thinking it. Just mount it and go. A passanger weighs more than a 2 gallon gas can and some drybags. Unless you are packing lead weights its not going to matter much.troll said:I think the twist fastener is flush with the surface of the rotopax unless you get the locking style.
I know a low CoG is always the goal, and I keep thinking how easy the bike handles two-up which puts most of the additional weight above the seat. use your own numbers for the two-up additional load, probably more than camping gear... just sayin... ::017:: 16lb at seat level will hardly be noticed.
