OK Sorry, I thought you were saying you didn't see the need for it. My bad.
I wish I could do a diagram but I am on travel now and 370 miles from home. ( On the S10 ;)) So I will have to try to explain with words.
First you don't disconnect the clutch wires, you just tie the jumper circuit in parallel. So when you close the CJM switch the two clutch wires are shorted. Just as they are when the clutch switch is engaged. Never put power on the clutch wires! They go directly to the ECU and are for sensing only. 12V may damage the ECU.
The relay gets power (pin 86) from the headlight relay output. The ECU energizes the headlight relay once the motor is running. You can tap into the head light wires on the top right side of the relay bay where the wires go up to the front. Ground pin 85. Now the relay will energize and connect pin 30 and 87 together anytime the motor is running. Run one wire from the CJM switch to pin 30 and then run another one from pin 87 to one side of the clutch switch. Run a wire from the other side of the clutch switch back to the CJM switch.
Please PM me if you have other questions. (don't want to hijack this thread further!)

Flashed ECU arrived today from AC. By the time I got off of work and installed I only had time for a short ride. In a word, IMPRESSIVE! AC did himself well. Snappy and spirited, yet smooth and controllable. Example-"S" mode, 2nd gear, rolling 15 mph, snap the throttle open and without trying, the wear on the front tire is suddenly removed (if you get my point). That' just flat out fun.............a 1200 that now performs like a 1200. Undeniably, the best performance upgrade $125 can buy.

Also, installed a Yoshimura RS4 slip on. It now sounds like a 1200. Nice throaty tone, without being too loud.

While I love my big Victory Vision for very different reasons, this bike is fun and yet long day comfortable and practical.

Thanks AC for waking her up!

Good thought, my 2nd gear snap did trip the TCS (thus governing front tire air time). Maybe that's OK for maiden run. Will give TCS Off it a try!

Thanks again.

His "S" mode is my standard offering for S mode.

So no changes to the T mode?

Ok, it's time to stop worrying how cold the water is and just jump in the damn pool. Do I just PM you for shipping and payment info or is there some kind of link to follow?

His T mode has been changed also. It is a straight, linear throttle. Easily controlled, but a bit more than stock "S" mode.

Yeah, PM. No links or anything fancy. Just me at a keyboard with a mailbox.

Got mine back and appreciate Anthony's Sport mode.
As with others, I kept the stock Tour mode to ride rain, 2-up, etc.

I went with Anthony's Sport mode and asked to slightly increase the engine braking. Got it back and it's how the bike should have been delivered. Nice linear response and the engine pulls hard. With TC off, the front wheel comes right up. With the nanny-mode removed for off-idle performance, it does take some restraint on a loose surface. Hitting it hard out of a corner normally will easily light the TC light and step out the rear a bit.

Well . . . as long as I'm super careful not to crank the throttle with all of the salt on the road. The back end just comes right on out and the old reflexes still work just fine.

Excellent. Glad you like it!

I'm expecting a few more from Fedex/USPS over the next few days. It really looks like people are getting the Spring itch!

Any you guys feel the 3 to 4k rpm vibe disappear or is this still a clutch basket issue.

Planning on pulling the trigger on one or the other to cut some of the Buzz..

How hard or involved is it to remove the ecu?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Pretty darn simple. There are some great posts on the forum if you do a search, but here is a quick summary.

Pull the black right side cover by releasing the 1/4 turn fasteners. Then remove the painted plastic above that by removing the 3 allen screws and the 2 plastic pop rivets at the front.

You will see this:

Pull all of those relays free. Remove the tray they were all attached to by removing the 2 plastic pop rivets and the hidden allen bolt from the back side.

Then you find the ECU:

2 plugs and your bike will look like this for ~5 days:

Got my flashed ECU back from avc on Wed. and finally had a chance to get a 150mi ride in today. I couldn't be happier!

I can't give a full review quite yet, as I'm still in my engine break-in period and didn't want to over do it. That was realllllly hard to do in S-mode. Its just flat out - fun. Smooth, no stumbles, and very quick to spool up the rpms...so much so that I found myself short-shifting to keep it below 4k. As a result, I ended up spending most of the ride in T-mode. I hit some twisties as well as some deep, muddy gravel. T is the perfect balance of power when you want it, but control when you need it. Moving through the dirt/gravel was confidence inspiring, and when I got back on pavement, I never felt underpowered powering through uphill curves even in 5th or 6th gear.

If you've been on the fence to do this. Hop on off and get to it!
