Keep in mind that each USB port is 2.1 amps, so even if you have both in use, you probably won't be drawing full amperage very often. Might be a good idea to change to a 5 amp fuse though. The wiring should support that w/o issue.

It'll probably be OK with a 5A fuse but the copper in that wire is really thin (20 ga iirc). Install a 10A fuse and you can melt not only that wire but the more critical wires it is bundled with. Time again to say it for those not aware - Fuses and circuit breakers are sized to protect the wire and NOT whatever the wire provides power to.

Absolutely true CW. Great reminder. ::008:: Makes me cringe when a rider tells me he put a 10 amp fuse in there so he could run his air pump! That kind of sustained use is a recipe for melted insulation and crispy wiring.

I'm assuming the voltage converter is in the unit, since USB is 5V. So it will probably draw less current than it outputs, according to Ohm's Law.

Excellent point. 3amps at 12v give 4ohms resistance. 4.2amp 5v usb charge point has resistance of only 1.2ohms. That means that a 12v supply with a 3amp fuse would be more than adequate for two 2.1 amp 5v USB charge points without changing the 3amp fuse.

I always knew high school physics would come in handy someday!
