Rem,

Eat well to heal well. Hope your recuperation is full & complete and the finances come together to get you back on a STeed by the next riding season.

Got removed from the pavement by a Land Rover in 2010, big ouch. Why does it take us older gents more time to heal? Man, youth is wasted on the young...

Remains to be seen, eh?

Did your wife Remonstrate with you, did she suggest Remedial training perhaps, tell you to Remember to be more careful, or maybe she just offered alternative Remedies?? Just wondering.

your remontant remnants of repetitious "rems" would be remiss without mentioning that I am remapping, remodelling and remorsefully remaning myself. I hope to remedy my current situation.

If you need a front fender or front rim, let me know. They're just collecting dust in my basement.

Thank you all for your most generous offerings. I think what's gonna have to happen is my wife is going to have to work her fingers (fins) to the bone so she can afford to buy me a new bike.

I haven't discussed this with her as of yet .......... some serious compromising and grovelling may be involved. We'll see. R

No worries, Pat. I appreciate your concern. I busted my own ass, so didn't want to make a big deal of it. I don't remember the accident, but Ron said I bounced three times before coming to a halt on my back. The mountie who attended the scene said I landed on a substantial rock, thus explaining the considerable bruising and subsequent abundant coloration of my lower back and side. It was a major fubar. But I plan to be riding again next spring, on something.

I'll be looking for a high paying, low responsibility, part time job soon, so I can afford to get back on the road again. I may have to resort to selling my body to the young women who ..... no, wait ... the wife says I'm better off collecting pop cans.

I'll figure it out. R

Sorry to hear about the incident but waaay glad you're OK The Admiral and I wish you a speedy recovery as well as a quick return to two wheeled action. She recommends Arnica gel for the bruising. I recommend rum. We both recommend a new Tenere but to be careful how you mix all that together as there may be undesireable interactions. Take care!!

I didn't get the pleasure of meeting Rem when I missed the "Big Trip".
But I know him through his words and those of others.

The world is a better place with you still in it Rem! Get well. And ride.
