Suffer Fools; Gladly!
What are you using for an oil filter besides OEM?
Why?
Why?
I had a Bosch 3323, which is their long filter and had to take it off. It was just too long and I felt the fender extender might hit it. I am now using the 3300 which is still longer than the stock Yamaha filter.MikeBear said:I went with a longer filter, thinking, that more paper element will mean better flow, cooler engine, cleaner oil and so on. I might be wrong. ???
Same here.. And the M1-110 for other bikes that can hold a little longer filter.. Been using for years...stevepsd said:Mobil 1 M1-108 is another good one to use if you can't find the OEM. Same length as stock.

::026::, I have used for year on my 2 Aprilias as well as on the Concours C14. Top quality at an average price. They used to be cheaper....Kevhunts said:Typically I like to use OEM but if cost or availability is an issue, I wouldn't hesitate to use a HIFLO filter.

That print was a little small but I didn't see the Super Tenere listed anywhere? Are my eyes getting too old and feeble?markjenn said:Most of these car filters come in two lengths - if you have a skid plate, you probably want the shorter (that matches the length of the OEM Yamaha filter) to have clearance.

It's exactly the same length as the Yamaha OEM.
At $5.99, not a bad deal.
