Recommendation(s) for an experienced mechanic in the NorthEast?

As the title says, I am starting to have a few items to address on my 2012 - essentially:

-Valves adjustment
-Replacing CCT
-Wire harness recall (could wait)

None of that is urgent but could be done at the same time. I would prefer to wait and make sure to find a good mechanic rather than just rushing to the nearest multi-brand multi-purpose dealer.
I went for the MA safety inspection near my house in Cambridge and some of the helpers there at their shop could barely ride a motorcycle. Did not inspire too much confidence..

:)

Does anyone can recommend a good dealer or mechanic anywhere in the North East?

Thank you in advance!

(apologies if that has been discussed before)

I can recommend a shop in Arkansas, but that's the best I can do. Yamaha of Harrison. 5 star techs, fantastic work. I rode 400 miles to have them do my valve check/re-shim. There is a hotel next door, so I stayed the night there, asked for late check out and pushed the bike over in the morning across the parking lot so it was still cold. Bike was done by noon and I rode home.

Edit - Not only did they give me a copy of what the valves were when checked, but also put it in the Yamaha system so anyone looking up that VIN would be able to see the history of the bike. AAA service there.

There's a couple of guys from up there. One guy, The Mountain, been here a little while, but lives a little north of you. Another, fizzer, just got back to Mass (Worcester County) from OK from a fly-n-ride. His previous ride was an FZ, so he might "know a guy".

Thanks - I am long over due for a trip in that corner of the USA, so you never know!

I recommend any Yamaha dealership in the US that has at least one Gold Certified mechanic in their employ. If you want the very best then this dude:

Valves and CCT are pretty basic for pretty much any Yamaha dealer. I've had good experiences with the Yam dealer in Frederick MD, which is a small father/son place.
The issue is getting on their schedule and then waiting if they find they need part(s).

Such as the wiring harness recall. No matter where, it is going to be seeing who can get the part.

Been riding a S10s for 82k miles now in worcester ma. All my mechanic uses have been bad. Thankfully my S10s have been fairly reliable. Sorry I’m no help.

Ray’s Cycle Center in Greenfield MA would be a very good choice. They are an old-school family owned Yamaha dealer since the mid 1960’s, and the owners ride S10s. If I still lived anywhere in that area they’d be the only ones I’d trust.
