IMOP, ABS is the only way to go... What happens when someone picks up rocks doing some 'off road'.. it will sand bast that and could break it fast...

Proper composite materials will hold up fine. Cheap polyester and mat won't. Sadly alot of fiberglass parts are still made of the later.

Wow gang things are happening big time on this rear tire hugger from HLD but they asked me to hold off before providing any more details. Sorry for the tease but this is not a dead issue yet. These guys are really going above and beyond to make things right. Also I was mistaken the S10 hugger was never made out of ABS only their other types of huggers were for sport bikes etc. The S10 hugger was always polyester fiberglass, but things are looking up for us, more to come when they get back with me.

Awesome. When I was in the Navy, we used to have the composite shop build certain parts for our Hawkeyes that had become very rare or obsolete. Done properly the stuff was stronger than the original part by far. We also had repairs done to the props that I'm sure outlasted them.

Z06 have you considered making this under panel? I am going to install something before the Whitehorse trip and should have installed something already. Corrugated plastic was the first product that came to mind.
