IDEEHO stones throw from the IBDR!!!
Im a new Gen 1 owner and noticed that the gen 2 bikes have a small cowl/cover over the Subframe area that covers the open area where the rear master sits. I like the way the cowl looks. It cleans up that area of the frame/master cylinder. I noticed that the Chinese make an aftermarket part that sorta mimicks the factory part. I tried to search down the factory part but for the life of me cannot find it on any of the parts fische's. Based on what I know about the price of factory parts im sure the price is ridiculous!!! Just wondering IF anyone has bought the Chinee knock off and how it presents and constructed. I see that Pyramid Plastics based in England makes an identical cowl, and I have used their products in the past, but its kinda pricey too. Just wondering!

This is the Pyramid part. Looks identical to me and probably made in China too though the site says "Made in Britain"!

I believe that Yamaha only put them on the bikes with the "ES" suspension.
My 2014 regular-suspension model did not come with one.
I have seen a few owners who have installed the Pyramid-Plastics one.
I made my own from a sheet of stainless-steel that I pirated from an old Bosch Dishwasher that we disposed of.

The Yamaha part is #26 in this diagram.

Thanks! Wonder why the only put them on the ES models? Maybe to protect the wiring? The homemade looks pretty good. Maybe Ill go that route, but for $30ish shipped I might just continue to support the CCP. I had found the parts fische one before but for some reason could not find it again-not that Id pay $152.00 for it. Then you need all the other fasteners too. Probably push it up over $200 shipped. Ouch!!!

I made my own for my previously owned 2015 standard. I used scrap rubberized commercial roofing material and wrapped in behind the shock to keep road debris off of it.

THE "S" never had a cover there... the "ES" has that cover because behind it is the adjuster (rebound and compression) of the rear suspension... that's why it protrudes beyond the rear footpeg

Oh ok, now I see what you were referring to. I thought you meant the shield right over the rear master cylinder. No, I don't have one of those infill shields.

apologies if I off topic-ed.

wonder if anyone would know or where to get them.

IMO, these are the unicorn parts of S10..

only answers that I could get out of, was that it originates frm France & these bike's owners are french.

Yes…it's a Unicorn. It is a limited edition called “Blue Factory”, or “Black Factory”.

Oddly enough, the turn signals look Gen 2, or the same aftermarket vendor. I wonder what other bits are not "normal" on these bikes.

THAT'S the ones I was referring to, but I believe they were only offered for 1 or 2 years. IIRC World Crosser were not available stateside. I wish they were they look a lot better than the stock/aftermarket ones.

they are after market made nothing to do with world crosser, i have a 2013 world crosser they were never part of the world crosser kit
they were made by a third party i agree tried for years to get them but no luck

the pictures on kev #12 thread of those 2 panels mounted to the blue and black bikes none of those bikes are world crosser editions as well
