Hi All
Me and my S10 live in Thailand. Found a guy here making skidplates so I ordered one. Biggest attraction was that it doesn't attach to the Engine apart from one small brace on the LHS for the muck guard. Am not keen on the bolt to the engine type. I had the standard Yamaha one which was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Couple of pics attached, if anyone wants more, let me know. I also got a pair of his heel guards too. Did have a nasty moment when putting my left leg down and the Yam one went up my trouser leg and held my leg up.Prices were good and he will ship international.
Am sure you can find the guy on google.

Wow, that front plate looks like it's 6mm thick! Nice that he gave you what looks like access to at least the front oil drain.

If you look at his website, it looks to be a second (optional) plate that is listed as a mud guard. In other words, there are two separate plates. LINK

I guess you haven't seen the shipping cost then? Eye watering, not to mention import duties if you live in the EU or EEC
US Shipping is far less...I also liked the heel guards...

I think that thickness impression is because the edges are folded back. This skid plate looks nice. Wonder what shipping to the US costs?

$40 is not bad in my opinion. Here in Flatistan, I ride lots of sand and rarely see a rock so I have the Yamaha plate. However, in August I am riding Colorado, Arizona and Utah for the first time. This has me worried about the skid plate mounting to the sump versus the frame on this one. Hmm...

Found out it was going to be almost $40 shipping. Err. Nevermind

No, $40.00 is not bad at all....especially being shipped from Thailand. I ship items on a weekly basis and I have recenly seen that shipping rates have gone up considerably. Last year both Fed Ex and UPS have changed their shipping rates to be more biased towards box size than weight.

Anyway, I'm no expert but this looks like a promising skid plate to me.

Typo, meant to say almost $70. I've corrected my post.

I'm still kind of interested in this plate. My bike has a Fenda Extender though. Wondering if there's any experience with clearance issues?

Put mine on yesterday, did have to make one fitting hole a little bigger. No clearance issue and it looks good and feels very sturdy.

How long is your extenda. I can measure back from my standard guard and let you know.
Forgot to follow up on this. The fender extension adds 5.5" at the center, but is curved to follow the tire.
